  1. Don't base your headphones on the size of the ear cups. There's a lot more to comfort than just that. Material type, clamping strength, headband and weight all come into play. I'm not sure if the original clouds are still for sale, but i'd pick up one of those if you must get a headset, but I suggest watching this first.
  2. Try checking out the blue snowflake.
  3. I'd get the A2's and save the rest of a good sub, if you don't, get the A5+'s.
  4. You can get MUCH better than logitech at this price point. My suggestion - http://www.amazon.com/Audioengine-Premium-Powered-Desktop-Speakers/dp/B000VKEFN2/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1435180836&sr=1-3&keywords=audioengine+A2 and http://www.amazon.com/MartinLogan-Dynamo-300-Theater-Subwoofer/dp/B004LRPXAU/ref=sr_1_12?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1435180842&sr=1-12&keywords=subwoofer or http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dayton-Audio-SUB-1000-10-100-Watt-Powered-Subwoofer-300-628-/321411205155?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
  5. Would you be open to headphones + microphones? Also headsets are designed specifically for a certain game, it would be impossible. My recommendation is to grab some HD 518's and a microphone of your choosing - http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_7?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=usb+microphone&sprefix=usb+microphone%2Celectronics%2C149&rh=n%3A172282%2Ck%3Ausb+microphone What?
  6. I would subscribe in a heart beat. OP - The most comfortable headphones for something reasonably priced would either be split between the AKG K612 pro's and DT 990's/880's. IMO velour is a lot more comfortable than leather/pleather, and the AKG's are most made of plastic, which makes them light.
  7. Exactly. A DAC alone won't magically change what you are after. You need to change your headphones if you want something better.
  8. I remember some guy saying that on some video I saw on Tek Syndicates channel.
  9. You might have to mess around with the sound level in Windows. The AT2020 USB I have does the same thing. Stock windows volume is 20 and I have to bring it all the way down too 4 or 5. Also the problem might be the sound cards you are buying. They look very very low quality.
  10. You won't find a phantom power setup for $70 unless you want some really crap gear. A decent stand is at least $30 alone. If you don't use a mechanical keyboard, or use PTT, the blue snowflake is decent. Checkout the mod mic as well. Where? Everywhere I check is $70.
  11. If you use headphones, check out the mod mic. If you have a mechanical keyboard I would stay away from desktop mics unless you use PTT.
  12. Custom one pro's might be a good choice for you. Stay away from Bose.
  13. They both probably sound bad, get the cheapest one.
  14. Most likely you'll need an amp for those headphones if your motherboard doesn't have one already. The E17 is a portable amp, and for that kind of money you can get better for desktop use. The Zalman mic is passable, but if you can afford it, try swinging for a better one. The Blue snowflake and Samson Meteor mic would be a good upgrade.
  15. The only thing decent is the sennheiser line. Get the most expensive model you can afford that has velour pads. I believe it would be the RS 180 model.
  16. Not sure if Logan is going to put this in one of his videos, but figured you guys would like to see these. Last video is the best https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B8RH5ffK_ZSWZjlwX2p6THFxQm8&usp=sharing Edit - (All of those are mine btw).
  17. It's not an exact figure like, $299 is fine, but $300 is not. It depends on your headphones, your source and what exact headphone you're getting.
  18. Hmm...I'm thinking pie eating contest might be slightly better? Everone loves whipped cream in beards.
  19. Yeah we need to do more videos about audio. Everytime I go up it's generally not enough time, and the winter doesn't help right now. When it gets warmer up I'll head down for a few days.
  20. So here are pretty much the only 3 possibilities that I believe happened to him. 1 - He was paid off. This is the least likely IMO. 2 - His mother passed and he left the hobby 3 - He put a fair amount of businesses under, made a lot of them look bad, and took sales from many. This generates unwanted pressure, something I can totally agree with. @h264 and I have a really good idea of who actually is nwavguy, but I don't want to start any rumors.
