  1. I will take the time to look this over, and talk to the other writer and try to figure it out. Unfortunately its almost 2:30 AM and I've got benchmarking I need to get to... Like I said before you had geniune questions and I really appreciated it
  2. By the way the purpose of the testing was to Explain to anyone that the 5960X is not a good value for gaming. Most people test CPUs in a CPU bound environment, which we think is fine and is necessary for CPU reviews. We wanted to showcase real world scenarios because I don't know about you guys but I don't like gaming in a CPU bound environment. For the average PC gamer they have no idea what is going on and makes them think that it constitutes performance TODAY. I don't care which CPU runs better in the upper 200s, I care which will be fast enough to keep my GPU from bottlenecking.
  3. I'll ask the writer of the article, might have to do with lowerclock speeds. I want to do some follow up stuff comparing to the i5 4690K or Skylake if I get it. Thanks for keeping an open mind.
  4. It's because of all the Intel fanboys. "It reeks of bullshit because it is sponsored" Yet Linus has many sponsored by Intel videos but he has no hint of bias. (I am not accusing him of anything just using your logic) Let me clear some things up to everyone here, AMD posted this to their Facebook. They sent us hardware and that is it. We have never received any pay from AMD or advertising and in no way shape or form did that "Taint" our results. Our test benches is in the article itself if you take the time to read it. To many people this may not make sense that we aren't making it a CPU bound environment, but if you are a gamer you never want to be in a CPU bound environment. Please tell me any gamer who wants 400FPS that isn't a competitive CS:GO player or the like. Anandtech and many other outlets put CPUs in synthetic situations that frankly put AMD in a much worse light for gamers than they deserve. The amount of people who assume you need an i5 to play dota because its Intel and "AMD is so much worse" shows how uneducated the masses are. This test is to educate people that you don't need to throw money at your CPU till your games run better. If anyone here has some constructive criticism, Donny and myself will be looking through the posts What we'd like to see is suggestions for games etc. Thanks and we're happy you've taken the time to read it. BTW Sintzza, aren't you from the Teksyndcate forums as well?
  5. You guys must not buy from Amazon a lot. Its become a law in a lot of places to need to charge Tax and shipping. Newegg doesn't care because they're much more focused on PC components Amazon does because of the variety of products they carry plus the ease of getting a credit line or gift certificates.
  6. Here in the US its $50 cheaper than the lowest price i5 so there is that. i3s are its direct competition here and when using the graphics are better. and also overclocks.
  7. Seems fine with the Hyper 212+ I popped on it. not too sure what you mean.
  8. Something most people forget as we like to "Take sides" This is a welcome change of pace and is good for the consumer in the end
  9. I reviewed the A8 7650K recently and fell in love. I just got a 7870K in and will be benchmarking and reviewing it soon http://www.technologyx.com/featured/amd-a8-7650k-apu-review-the-little-apu-that-could/
  10. We do have a 5960X, so we may leave it clocked at 3,0 GHz and see if it makes a difference clocked to 3.5/4.2Ghz
  11. Any idea on what type of testing you'd like to see (I.E CPUs tested at different clock speeds etc...)
  12. The 6300 will decimate the i3's in photoshop, AdobeCC applications love cores, although the i3 and Pentium would be better PER core we only have 2 cores or 2 with hyper threading, in this case the AMD counterpart is fantastic for its price. The i5 would be better but not worth the extra $100, have you decided on a motherboard yet?
  13. We wanted to do the portion inside and the portion of driving away. It's at the start of the game and is easily repeatable.
