  1. Hi, My desktop started to make this noise noise.m4a today, which start when I open a game and instantly stop when the game closes. I'm not sure which component makes the noise, but my GPU is a gtx 1080 strix and my PSU is a Corsair TXM Gold 650 W 80+. These two components are about 4 years old and have never had an issue with them before. The rest of the PC is new components from January. I read that it might be coil whine? Should I be worried of my GPU or PSU dying on me soon?
  2. Hello guys, My Dell G3 15 3590 has idle temps which I believe should not be that high, although me ambient temperature is also high at about 24.5 degrees Celsius. Image below are temps doing nothing at all. Image below here is from just opening chrome with 6 taps. is this to be expected on a smaller laptop or is something wrong, maybe a bad thermal paste? It is running at stock settings with the 'optimized' fan preset (which are quite loud)
  3. A 2700k has 4 more threads though, but I'm unsure as to how much threads matter.
  4. Thanks, With the 5800x I just considered its price to be weird. For 150$ you get 2 more cores, but then for a 100$ more just can actually double the cores and get 12. Seems like the cost per core with 5800x is not as good.
  5. Hello everyone, I'm looking to build a new PC, primarily for gaming, which I can hopefully keep for at least a couple of years. I have been looking at the AMD 5000-series CPUs. Do you think a 5600x(6C/12T) is enough? I would like to be able to use discord or watch a video on my second monitor without it affecting my games too much. I'm currently on a 7600k (4C/4T). I seem to be CPU bound on some games e.g. Warzone. The game runs decently, but people on discord can not hear me as soon as we join a game. I figured this was because of warzone hugging all of my CPUs resources, right? Also, I know games usually don't utilize a lot of cores, but I would imagine as time passes, more games will be able to utilize more cores?
  6. Okay, my formulation wasn't very good, its not the key caps themselves but rather the switches, if i rinse them with hot water i fill definitely get water into the PCP, i'm not sure if that is okay? Thanks for helping me out!
  7. Hey again, i bought isypropol alcohol have been trying to clean the sticky keys for a while, but as soon as they dry they get sticky again. Seems like these romer-g switches makes it difficult to really get in there. Do you have any ideas, i'm contemplating just going ham and covering everything in Isopropyl...
  8. I would need to get supplies to do that, then i would rather just buy a new keyboard
  9. I did take all the keys out, but it wasn't enough I'll try to clean the logic board, but i've never done that before so i got to figure out how first
  10. Could give it a try since i really like it, so far i only toke all the key caps of and cleaned it under there.
  11. Okay thanks, guess i'll have to find a new keyboard, unfortunately it seems like they don't get sold in my country anymore
  12. Hey guys, a mate of mine spilled a drink with juice in it on my Logitech G810, unfortunately we were about to go out and we were drunk, so i just wiped it down with paper towels and left. Next morning i cleaned it properly, let it dry of and plugged it back in. It just presses a lot of random buttons and is completely uncontrollable. Do you think that it can still be saved or is it gg?
  13. Okay thanks, but which numbers go where?
