  2. Here's my current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jKkxvK It's a full tower build in a haf 912 advanced which I mostly use for gaming (yes I know it's overkill but I didn't know that at the time). I'm going to college soon, and I was thinking that I should downsize to a smaller form factor in order to make it more convenient to transport around. I initially wanted to go with a fractal node 304 and an asus z97I - plus so that I could keep the psu and cpu cooler, but someone I talked to said there would be issues with the hard drive placement and the cpu cooler. he suggested that I co with a coolermaster n200 and an matx motherboard. Do you guys think it's worth it to downsize a pc for convenience in college and if so, which form factor and components should I go with?
  3. I currently have an audio technica Ath-AD900X, and I'm planning to get an o2 + odac combo as well. I'm looking to upgrade the headphones as well, and i'm considering the Hifiman he400 ($299 new, approx $250 used), the Sennheiser HD600 ($299 new, aprox $220 used) and the mayflower Electronics t50rp v1 + headband & v3 earpads (total $261). I've heard the HD600 and the He400i in a shop before, but I can't get hold of the original he400 or the mayflower t50rp. I normally listen to pop, rock, electronic and etherial sounding music and from what I heard, I preferred the He-400i to the HD600. How different does the he400 sound to the he400i, as some have said that they changed the sound signature for the two headphones, and how do the t50rp v1s sound by comparison? Also, I'm assuming that the t50rp with the headband and earpads will be a lot more comfortable than the he400. Which headphone do you recommend and what do you generally prefer, comfort or sound quality?

  6. oh ok, thanks. which headphone amp do you recommend? I won't be getting one soon, but just for future reference.
  7. I can get both for about $160. does the price-performance of the hd518 still hold up?
  8. I'm looking to replace my headphones for christmas and i've decided on these two since they both cost around the same and they both have good reviews. I'm mostly going to be gaming and listening to music on these and will probably be attaching a modmic to them as well. I've tried on the sennheiser one and they seem quite comfortable but I haven't tried the audio technica ones. Which one would you guys recommend
