Bladst reacted to Drak3 in Menu boards in my store with a Nuc? Usb pc? Suggestions?
Having remodeled a few restuarants, Dominoes and Burger King being the two most recent, it wasn't uncommon for static menus to be still images on a thumb drive, and animated menus to be looping videos.

    I'd look at PiSignage - https://pisignage.com/
It supports setting up a server to manage them from. Running 3 screens off 1 PC is going to be awkward for most digital signage software anyway.

It comes with 3 free licenses, and sounds like it would cover what you want anyway. It has wifi integrated so all you'd need to do is power it, which if you're using actual TVs you can probably power it from a USB port on the TV.

    Thanks for the advice!

You don't need a new graphics card, you need a new pc.

Bladst got a reaction from Mira Yurizaki in Need help adding a switch to my network.
I solved it. It was because the item my PoS sent with tier set up was a router NOT a switch. I turned off my wifi on one of my desktops. I hooked the "router" from them to the desktop by lan with nothing in the wan port. I logged into the browser set up. disabled DHCP and added a static IP different then everything else. I then took the Lan from my switch in my office and connected it to the new switch ( the router but I turned off the DHCP which means it isnt trying to grab anything anymore) into a lan port ignoring the Wan port. Then I took another lan into the pc and all is well now, Wifi works and all of it. So thanks for the support man!

okay standard network setup looks like this
your ISP line (modem) goes into your router/firewall here security gateway (ill call it router)
then there is a switch because your router dosnet have enough ports
then the AP goes to the Switch just as any other wired device (like your PC)
now your router has to tell your clients (pcs notebooks phones cloud-key...) who he is (DHCP Server) so your pc needs the IP address of your router as Gatewayaddress and it needs the ip of a DNS-Server (like 8.8.8.8 for google)
your router might also need information about your connection to the ISP and did you throw out your ISPs router, if not the problem might be NAT

I wrote a guide for this, down in my signature you'll find the link.

The first thing you gotta try is testing outside the case. A very common cause for no post is a bit of metal shorting a circuit on the motherboard.

Ah that's too bad. Actually I'd try RAM first, but the chances are similar.

It's one of both, but the motherboard's the problem more often so it's a good idea to try that one first.

If you could borrow a CPU known to be working, then you'd be able to make sure. And if you get a replacement and it still doesn't POST, at that point think about asking for a CPU RMA.

I wouldn't even try to turn on the computer without a CPU cooler lol

Try both sticks of RAM, each in both slots. Also make sure you have all the needed connectors, sometimes we can all forget to plug in the EPS 8-pin one.

As I was about to toss it out the window I found a forum post about how this motherboard does not play nicely with most ram. Found a list of compatible ones. Bought and installed them. No issues since. SO if anyone is reading this post still. CHECK YOUR RAM

    Thank you Energycore. Thank you.

Might be time to call Gigabyte for an RMA then

From my googling around I havent found any articles comparing the 4gb 960. just the 2gb versions.

The asus ac56u may be what you need. I have one and the 2.4ghz range is pretty good. I can get around 100ft away from my house before i get disconected. For $100, i dont know of anything better.
