  1. The Logitech G930's are pretty good, but I do not recommend getting the wireless ones, they are loaded with issues. (It is a gaming headset with a mic, if you're wanting that.) EDIT: If you don't want a headset, go with a good pair of Audio Technicas, Sennheisers, or beyerdynamics.
  2. While it may not be necessary, I definitely recommend getting one. It would suck if you fried a part because you didn't want to spend an extra $5.00 for extra protection. Yes, you most likely won't, but it's cheap and in my eyes it's worth it.
  3. Carpet can build up static, yes. It is always recommended to wear shoes on hardwood/tile flooring when building a PC.
  4. Microsoft Security Essentials/Windows Defender, Malwarebytes, and Avast (You don't have to use MSE/Windows Defender.)
  5. You can't open them as in....? Does your router have a firewall or some form of restrictions enabled?
  6. That was a very helpful response. /s
  7. Try the old 'https' trick: - Manually type in: https://www.youtube.com/. Make sure you have the 's'. If you want, you could download a VPN and get around the firewall that way. Or use a proxy. A lot of schools will get you in trouble if they find out you're trying to circumvent their restrictions, just FYI.
  8. Why would you need two copies?
  9. Probably just a script kiddie who figured that information out by other means, that does not mean you were hacked. Visual Studio is not harmful and you should not be worried about it.
  10. Visual Studio is an IDE, and not something harmful. It often comes installed with some software you install on your PC. What makes you think you were hacked?
  11. Re-install Chrome, and if that doesn't work, try running a scan with your antivirus (Malwarebytes, Windows Defender/Security Essentials, AVG Free are all great ones you should use.) *Edit: Make sure you back up your bookmarks!
  12. Might as well have regular card games and board games in that section too.
  13. Try re-installing all helvetica fonts. Be sure to Google how to do it so you don't mess anything up
  14. You're using 'were' as if it was past tense. Is your problem fixed already?
  15. It's safe if you're trying to hide something from your friends, boss, etc. Don't try and hide from hackers or government agencies with it though, it's not secure enough. (not much actually is.)
  16. The game itself freezes or the window freezes?
  17. If you need to have Windows 8.1/8, and you plan on upgrading or making another build, don't get an OEM licensed copy. OEM licenses will lock themselves to the motherboard, and if you want to build another rig you'll have to buy a brand new windows license.
  18. So you'd prefer people lie about what happened than just say the truth?
  19. Get a good book in Python or C#, watch YouTube tutorials, and start a project. Dive in. It's the best way to get started. Codecademy can be okay at times but I have noticed that I skips out on many important parts of the languages it tries to teach. I still think that Lynda.com is a great site to learn to code.
