I make over six figures...I don't really need the money or need to be an asshat like the rest of the world and jack up prices. I'm content with giving it away on a twitch stream sometime or Instagram giveaway. No biggie.

thedarkdad3 got a reaction from WkdPaul in LMG, you might be able to move to Linux soon
LOL. No organization will switch to linux for that. Take one problem out to add 20 more? Running Enterprise Windows | Domains and crossing that with linux adds a slew of issues. I am sure they are content with how the domain is set the OUS | Policies . no need to switch

Man some salty people in here. Take it from me I have the 3090's and 3080's it's not mind blowing. It is not an essential thing to have and it's not life or death. You'll get one if you wait 6-12 months. For now plenty of iGPUS can game. Plenty of older cards on craigslist and ebay if you hunt.

Honestly, what's wrong with the 5820K? That's still a good CPU...

thedarkdad3 reacted to just_dave in Who is running X370 ?
You have only 8 boards usable for 1800X, here is the list:
Prime X370 Pro
Gigabyte X370 Gaming 5
Gigabyte X370 Gaming K7
Asus Strix X370-F
ASRock Taichi
ASRock professional Gaming
Crosshair 6 Hero
Crosshair 6 Extreme

thedarkdad3 reacted to minibois in Who is running X370 ?
I do, an MSI Gaming Pro Carbon with an R7 1700.
Just check some reviews of the board you're looking for, specifically if the RAM compatibility is great and some info on VRM cooling would be good too.
I wouldn't really recommend this MSI board, doesn't run my RAM very well and VRM cooling is not amazing.

thedarkdad3 got a reaction from Crunchy Dragon in Who is running X370 ?
It's just a few years old and honestly...its getting to a point where my needs outgrow the CPU so the extra cores would help. It gets pounded daily and is often at 70% running xsplit or say adobe photoshop or lightroom or premiere or sony vegas not to mention VMware Workstation and the whole pentest environment i have for work part of me wants to get threardripper but I wanna hold off and see how I like X370 first
it just cant keep up anymore

thedarkdad3 reacted to Mick Naughty in and here we go....
Water cooling mine helped drastically in my room as the heat would be shot straight up or out the back side towards my the wall or door. Instead of my blower cards shooting it all towards me. Much cooler and quieter, good luck
