  1. Thank you for suggestion, I will try it. I have never used linux so if you have any link where to get it from it would be a bliss.
  2. I have a gaming Laptop, which I bought used but in mint condition, Asus FX504GM (i7 8750H, gtx 1060 6gb, 8gb ram) and using windows 10 pro, original cable and charger. -Laptop is plugged in and the battery is charging. Battery works well. -Power option is already set to High Performance and CPU min and max is set to 100%. -I already tried reinstalling windows, drivers. -I already checked BIOS and could not find any multipliers or other related settings to CPU, power, thermals or this issue. -CPU is not overheating and gets stuck on 60 C degrees, -Fan is spinning. -I tried running ThrottleStop but it has an issue. There were two .dll and after adding them to the folder, I started getting error "unable to start correctly error (0xc000007b)" What else I can do to resolve this issue? Has anyone ever dealt with it before?
  3. I will try doing memtest to check if RAM are okay + leave Prime 95 test for CPU over 10 hours to check if it's stable even on default settings. I will keep updating this post if we find the cause. Might help someone out there...
  4. Sometimes it gets to unreal speeds, such as over 20'000... And even 4700 seems unreal... Any ideas? This isn't even on gaming.
  5. He has an adapter and the same thing happened even while using adapter to Display port. Even putting HDMI into motherboard did not help.
  6. But the thing is, headphones are plugged into the motherboard, not into a monitor. He is not moving his desk, nor his monitor while this thing happens.
  7. I am trying to help one friend of mine... He has I7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M6 (previous motherboard was ASUS Z270 MAXIMUS FORMULA with a few bent pins and not working two ram slots), Kraken X42, 2x8gb ddr4 3000MHz G. Skill RGB ram Supernova G2 850w power supply, SSD 128gb, 1TB HDD, massive ATX case GTX 1080 inno3D triple fan +1080p 60hz monitor with HDMI. We tried switching motherboards, removing video card and using integrated intel hd graphics, reinstalling Nvidia drivers, changing motherboard, reinstalling windows, using computer without installing geforce experience. NOTHING OF THIS HELPED. What happens: short blackscreen with no audio, after that everything goes back to normal. Does not matter if you're playing video games or not. Happens sometimes even while watching a movie. They happen once a day in a very inconsistent manner. The only possible causes in my opinion are - RAM, CPU or power supply? I don't think it can be monitor just because audio disappears as well. If you know ANYTHING about possible issue, please let us now.
  8. Example: He is playing a game and for 1-2 seconds black screen appears and all in-game sound disappears, after it that, it goes back to normal. This happens not only while gaming, even while just browsing. The frequency is extremely random, sometimes happens more often, sometimes rarely. My friend has i7-7700k, X42 kraken, GTX 1080 ,ASUS crosshair maximums IX z270 (two ram slots are not working) and it has a few bent pins, 2x8GB DDR4 3000MHz ram. I tried: Underclocking CPU, reducing voltage, removing GPU oc - did not help. Increased kraken performance - did not help. Reinstalling Nvidia drivers several times, updating to new ones - did not work. All temperatures are fine. Any tips?
  9. Has anyone bought new X470 motherboards with Ryzen 2000 series processors? What RAM are you using and what speeds are you getting, any problems? I am tried to look up a few modules in the compatibility list and I can't find the exact same model (similarly to 1st gen motherboard). I heard more ram are compatible so in theory, maybe we don't need to look to manuals anymore, as it was with gen1 motherboards before?
  10. So you think Q3 is most likely for B450? And what are your guesses, will there be X470 mATX?
  11. Majority, if not all, users do not even need ATX format motherboards, especially with mainstream processors such as Ryzen R3-R7... Such massive motherboards and cases just waste space. Yes, but B350 and X370 will have less support, they are less stable with various RAMs and there are some reports of various problems being caused while using Ryzen 2000 CPUs. Precision Boost overdrive, store MI does not work. Also, all Zen 1 mATX motherboards are poor at best, AB350M ASROCK PRO4 is the best out of them with kinda OK VRMs. I would go with Asus X470-I but that 6+2 phases VRM is just awful. Imagine, how it would be able to sustain R7 2700X OC while other motherboards, such as X470-f Strix reach even 70 degrees in C while having 10 Phase DIGI+. 4 C behind stands Crosshair VII with 12 Phase DIGI+ VRM. As there is a high chance for Zen 2-3 having more than 8 cores (possibly 12 cores in X700 model), getting such weak VRM might cause shortening the lifespan of the VRM and voltage(=clocks) of the CPU as I am looking forward to upgrade to Zen 2-3.
  12. Soon games will be optimized for multi-core CPUs. Intel 9000 series will come even with more cores and threads. Higher clocks might give you more fps in poorly optimized and old games, such as CS:GO but in the end it's not even worth it. So to conclude - get i5-8400 or even Ryzen 2600 (6c 12t + you will have ability to ALWAYS upgrade to Zen 2, 2,+, 3 and possibly 3+ architecture CPUs without the need to change the motherboard). In some games an OC 2600 will get more FPS than i5-8400.
