  1. Yea i know it is the most popular choice but since the OnePlus 8 pro is way out of my budget, I'm willing to buy the Nord since the price difference is drastic. I'm fine with the bad camera, because I can just download the gcam app to use Google's api. Other than that, their software has always been great so it is a good choice.
  2. Damn, seems a like good deal. Wish I live in Europe. I hope i can import it though.
  3. Yea but due to shortages, there's no availability from the official store. Even if there's one, they still sell it at full price which is out of my budget. I think since the 8T and 8T pro is around the corner so they might cut it since the phone cycle moves very fast.
  4. To let you know, I more about the phone experience that the features or gimmicks that it gives. I did consider buying an iPhone SE but the battery does not cut it for me. The small screen is fine and everything about the iPhone SE is fine but I don't like the small battery. I prefer the stock Android experience, even my current phone is setup like a pixel and I have also disable some of the huawei features which i will never use. If Huawei did not remove the bootloader restriction, i might flash pixel experience or lineage os on my phone now.
  5. I did consider going for the 7T, since most of the phone hardware is pretty similar to Nord besides the processor, USB speed, and build. The only problem is availablity since OnePlus tends to discontinue old released phones thus is harder to buy one. I did find one at an online retailer but they still sell the full price since it's released. But other than that, I trust OnePlus because they do a much better at handling their phones software support than those larger OEM. Samsung is now considerably at providing software support to their current released phones. That's why I'm thinking of looking at the Nord. There's goes without saying, never buy a phone that promises future software support but a phone that gives the things you need now and the future stuff can be considered an added bonus.
  6. I spend most of my time on YouTube and Chrome actually, sometimes the phone freaks out where to a point the entire software crashes. I suspect is the RAM is causing the issue since hardware wears out faster than the software. And also it will reboot randomly (as mentioned above) so I suspect the hardware has been wearing out. But like I said, it just happens sometimes. Plus, battery drain is pretty bad with 4 to 4.5 hours screen on time.
  7. The phone still working fine, I don't play games on my phone actually so it doesn't affect me much. So far everyday use is ok, only sometimes the software bug kicks in.
  8. Hello everyone, l need some advice on should I change my phone to the OnePlus nord. I've been using the Huawei Mate 10 Lite or Nova 2i for the past two and half years and so far the phone is running ok and still running android 8.0 oreo. I recently change my LCD display since I had accidentally dropped it which shatters the display glass and I had change the battery last year since it had expanded after two years of use. Other than that, the phone runs ok and fine. Sometimes it reboot itselfs, app crashes (but very rare), I used to have screen burn in even in low brightness of various apps after long use but since i changed it, it no longer has an issue. So should I actually change now given the current circumstances? Or should I wait out another year? Before you guys say why not pick the pixel 4a ? I'm from the Asia market and the pixel 4a will not be officially released in my country (Malaysia) therefore, i choose OnePlus Nord instead. Love to hear your thoughts, your answers are greatly appreciated !! Thanks
  9. To be fairly honest, I don't have a computer to play video games or to watch YouTube. I use my iPad to watch YouTube and I constantly go to Internet cafes to play video games like every weekend. I'm planning to build one PC for my own just I don't need to waste money to go to Internet Cafe to play video games. Oh yeah, my iPad is basically my media consumption and productivity device. But having a PC will be great right? good luck to all, and congratulations to whoever wins it
