HP Storage Array with 3TB SATA
caltech831@gmail.com replied to caltech831@gmail.com's topic in Storage Devices
I will have to try it. Attached is the proposed setup im looking at, It will come prepopulated with 73GB SAS Drives and I would be slowly replacing each drive with a 3TB. How should I go about the replacement of the drives over time? Should I build a Raid array and have it rebuild itself each time there is a new drive or will that cause issues? -
HP Storage Array with 3TB SATA
caltech831@gmail.com replied to caltech831@gmail.com's topic in Storage Devices
Sorry, Should have been more specific. Will it work with regular 2.5" 3TB Drives or will it only work with the special storage works drives? -
Im planning on expanding the storage of my home server. I want to use the HP STORAGEWORKS MODULAR SMART ARRAY 70 MSA70 and fill it with 3TB drives. Its going to be expanding a current array with an LSI Expander on my Server running Win Server 2012R2 Enterprise.

SSD in Classic iPod (3rd Generation)

Druaga did a good job with that video but I think that the execution was a little off and he was using different parts that I have seen fail on other videos. -

Ive done the battery swap so im familiar with the inside. and the disassembly. Have you seen any of those CF convertors and possibly putting a CF to SD card in there and seeing if that works? Im really curious. -
Has anyone tried putting a 64GB KingSpec 1.8-inch IDE CF 50-pin in an iPod classic of any type and had luck with it? I have a 15GB 3rd gen with a failing hard drive and im looking to do the conversion. Any suggestions?

I bought 6 of them and the deal is legit! I was able to get a hold of some cheap 4gb fiber modules and have been using them around the house for a while now! Havent had an issue so far!
