Yes, as a matter of fact, I got the screen off eBay and was supposed to be new, but it had grubby finger prints on the back, and the connector for the screen was bent, and I had to bend it back to get it to work.

Well basically, I used a Samsung USB adapter and a shitty cable (Samsung charger is 5.3 volt @ 2 amps and the iPhone is designed to take 5v @ 1 amp) The battery is completely fine, no swelling or signs of it being damaged.

Okay so about a week ago I over volted my brand new battery in my iPhone 5s, which caused it to heat up and give my LCD heat damage. After replacing it, my screen works, but I'm still getting vertical grey lines. What is even more weird is that the area where you plug in the connectors for the front facing camera, digitizer, and LCD on the Logic board is heating up like mad when I turn the phone on. My main question is, could I have shorted something when I over-volted my battery?

Interesting... My MSI motherboard does the same when it's booting, but it works 100% fine. After it passes the splash screen it will go black and have the little A2 in the corner, and then boots windows. I wish I could help you more though, looks like no one else even cared -
