  1. I already had windows installed on my hdd. Im just trying to transfer the os to the ssd so I dont have to start everything over. Im following this guide: http://lifehacker.com/5837543/how-to-migrate-to-a-solid-state-drive-without-reinstalling-windows
  2. I want to make my new 250gb ssd my C/boot drive. I have already cloned my 1tb hdd to the ssd and even set up the bios to give the ssd boot priority over the hdd. However, it wont boot and will prompt me with a message to install bootable device. I plan on formatting my hdd so I can just use it for storage, not my os, but it wont let me format because I am using it for windows when I dont want to. My brain has been hurting over this all day. Please help.
  3. Okay, I am upgrading my dad's pc. It is an Dell Insperon 530 with these specs: Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz Memory: 2GB DDR2 (2 sticks of 1GB) 32-bit OS 2TB HDD installed with Vista currently on it I ordered the same memory(2 sticks of 1GB DDR2) so that it will have 4GB in total and I also got a 120GB SSD to put the Win7 OS on it, as well as some of the programs he uses(he mainly uses his desktop for email, facebook, document and photo storage, and spreadsheets) I want to put the new upgrade of Win7 on the SSD while keeping the 2TB HDD for storage on the pc, and get rid of Vista (obviously) The whole computer is compatible with Win7 since I ran the test with the program Microsoft said to use to check compatibility. How do I accomplish this task without losing any of the documents and photos on the HDD and still use it with the pc? (The ssd will NOT be for storage of documents and photos, ONLY chrome, microsoft office, and Win7)
