  1. alright great! I'm going to try and cram a H100i in the top of the case. If it doesn't fit return it and throw in an H80i or something, I should know what'll fit by then.
  2. There is a green version of it http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/chassis/prodigy-m/ Thanks I think I'll just upgrade to the 4690k straight away and not get a controller. Do you think I should just go straight for the I7 4690k? or is that a little too high end for gaming?
  3. @Anthony10 what cooler would you recommend? also I might upgrade my cpu down the road so... maybe it's worth it? I like green
  4. So I believe I've got my final build specs, but I just want to double check that I'm not totally missing something as this is my first PC build. I do want to make this build look as nice as possible with a green and black color scheme (which is why I chose to liquid cool it, so it'll look prettyful). I will mostly use this rig for gaming but some content creation may slip into my life. I'm more of a causal gamer but I do want it to look and run beautifully at like 3440 x 1440 maybe? (will probably add another 970 in sli later when I have $$$). Parts list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/sirblondeguy/saved/2Nvscf I'll probably add some green led lighting and fans later... So any massive issues? Or can I buy this thing and put it together ASAP? (please keep suggested parts in green, black, or something and compliments the pervious two, thanks ) Thanks for any help
  5. They both look great, but it would be cool if the made a blower version too for smaller cases with bad air flow.
  6. I know this doesn't really fit here, but it does use the horsepower of a desktop so... I've been looking at all the reviews of the nvidia shield tablet, but I haven't been able to find anyone who's talked about the experience of using 4 controllers with a stream from your desktop on it. Think games like crawl, tower fall ascension, hammerwatch, niddhogg, monco, and anything that can splint screen. I know that the shield supports up to 4 controllers, but I'm worried that after spending the money on it and 4 controllers it could be a complete disappointment. Or is there a totally different better way of hooking my desktop up to a tv for some local party games using controllers? (desktop is far away from tv and moving either is difficult, also other people use the tv frequently) Thanks for any information or tips you might have -sirblondeguy Quote MultiQuote Edit
  7. I've been looking at all the reviews of the nvidia shield tablet, but I've been left with one question that no one's seemed to answer (or at least I can't find it). My burning question is: How well does the shield run 4 person local multiplayer? Think games like crawl, tower fall ascension, hammerwatch, niddhogg, monco, splint screen stuff, etc. I know that the shield supports up to 4 controllers, but that's useless if it doesn't work well. Thanks for any information you might have -sirblondeguy
  8. I could go without a hard drive in favor of a bigger ssd since I don't intend to keep much more than a game library on it (I've got a decent laptop with 750gb of storage now).
  9. I'm thinking about building a matx rig in a bitfenix prodigy m (or any other case that looks good and is easy to move/ handles) with 2 gtx 970s in sli. This rig would be mostly for gaming (res 3440 x 1440) and needs to cost around $1500 US (preferably less ). Thank you guys for any help!
  10. whoops sorry guys here you go: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/sirblondeguy/saved/CFWJ7P Might still be set to Canada...
  11. I'm looking to make my first PC gaming rig, I live in the US and am a causal gamer. I have about $2000 to spend on this, but I want to keep the system a little cheaper because of paraphernalia (monitor, shield, controllers). I'm wondering if it's a good idea to start with a decent/cheaper system but get a really powerful GPU (gtx 980ish) and then upgrade the rest of the system as I get the money for it. I'm hoping to end up something like this: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ I have post about what I want to end up with here: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/228308-i-would-enjoy-help-on-my-first-pc-build-please-help-idk-what-im-doing/ I also want to get a nvidia shield tablet ($300) and controllers (I need 4) for party games like, crawl, tower fall accession, lethal league, etc. This and the monitor is where the rest of my $2000ish budge will go. For the monitor something cheap is fine as I'm looking to upgrade that to something like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IJUFGDE/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?tag=linustechtips-20&ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00IJUFGDE&linkCode=as2 Thank you guys -sirblondeguy
  12. @monjanger Why did you change the memory? The stats are the same... right? Also do you think the CPU cooler will fit in the case? Thank you guys!
  13. @PokémonTrainerFour no it doesn't have to be a mATX but I like the idea of it being small for going laning/moving it, what do I gain from going bigger? (better air flow?) @wcreek why is the Z79 better (I don't understand the mobo stuff that well)? Thank you guys I wasn't excepting that quick of a response
