I'd rather play at 4k medium high, no AA than 1080p ultra

AA off 390 can play almost anything 4K at good settings

A 670 can do maxed out settings at 1080p averaging 60fps with no AA

 

 
Some people are completely idiots when they think that a card is weak just because it came out in 2012, 670 is within 2% of a 960 

March-December 2016 is apparently the release window as of august of this year.
 
I'm a lot more excited about Final Backstreets Back that rehashed 7 filtered down with dark and broody post AC FF7 style. But i do expect it to be about the same image quality or so, but XV likely has a much bigger team. KH3 team will probably work on 7 once that game releases.

All these people shitting on FX 6 core, there is no way you should be telling people it's their CPUs fault when they are getting 10fps.

This is some crazy tier Bullshit, and i hope this doesn't hurt Jima personally or hurt his ability to get work in the future from other developers. I'm sure it can't be nice to get this treatment from the studio you've dedicated your life to.

It might have some good games, but its a disaster as far as sales and profits, and thats what constitutes it as a mistake
 
I guess the biggest mistake is naming it the wii U, but i think they should have released it early with no games, there was tons of stuiff they could have done better.

That is an example of not using the hardware right. As i said, Hardware doesn't struggle, software does, If the original xbox can't do heavy physics, you shouldn't write a game with heavy physics for it.
 
This can run on a PS4 with 30fps no drops,

This runs at 60 fps with no drops

Yet Sleeping dogs is extremely variable and  has a hard time maintaining 30

This points to me that the software is the issue.

there was no 390X2 becuase the 295X2 would be the same chips so there was no need to refresh it and sales were probably slow

Honestly i think its better if you don't know the other games, as it sorta walks all over its own story and characterization.
 
OP look at the gameplay, if you think it looks fun its probably worth it. the Story is the worst in the whole series and barely plays a role in the game.

Don't forget this increases resolution and framerate in the games tested by DF. Unfortunately not to 1440x1080 but it's still much better than 512x448.

by no means an insult to the developer, i really like insomniac, i just don't think its true, and i tend to believe DFs analysts

I just showed you a 1080 60 game, i also showed you a 1080 30 game, theres a reason to make both, theres room in the market for both. 1080 60 comes at some heavy compromises, games like fallout 4 would take some serious retooling to work at 1080 60

R&C runs at 960x704 according to actual professionals who know what they are talking about.
 
now again i showed you what a 1080 60 game looks like. More work will not get a 1080 30 game running at 60, you may get there, but there will be heavy compromises. To put a rule that 1080 30 or lower resolutions shouldn't be around is just absurd, there is enough room in the market for titles that run at 30 and 60, I want games like Until Dawn, Detroit, Witcher 3, along side 1080 60 stuff. But its the developers game at the end of the day, if you want 60FPS, get the PC version.
 
1080 30 is playable, and has its place, 1080 60 is better, but will not give you the same experience. To ask Witcher, or Fallout to run at 60 is a misuse of resources when the game will look much worse, and the game play style does not benefit in the ways stuff like Call of Duty, Metal Gear, Wolfenstien, Metro, Sports games, Battlefield games, stuff like that do from the increased refresh rate.

Intel will never go cheap enough to put in a console, and Iris will never beat an amd console GPU unless it swells up several times larger,

You must not be a long term PC user, Tomb Raider I was 30FPS 20 years ago.
 
The new Need For Speed is being delayed to allow for 60FPS play. 
Arkham Knight was ported by Iron Galaxy, a very infamous low budget developer, and it was very easy to unlock, 
 
You have a couple examples that represent a tiny minority of games released. Bear in mind Rivals was trash and i dont have a clue why you would want to play it in the first place, and AK was barely workable above 30 anyways, that game now supports 60FPS out of the box.

It's Very likely rocksteady was not in charge of the decision, much more likely WB made that call when Rocksteady couldn't finish the game on time, you've gone on a tangent from what we were originally talking about, which was 30FPS on Console, something that is totally reasonable and makes sense when a developer wants to make a visually impressive or dynamic game, to 30FPS on PC which is an unacceptable mess, but unfortunatly something that comes to happen every now and then. Fallout 4s frame rate affecting game speed above 60 is also embarrassing, and shouldn't happen.
