Lots of games use the older type of hdr on consoles, the big deal here is support for the larger color space on brand new 4k tvs it's the hdr that's part of the uhd Blu-ray standard. It's part of the hdmi 2.0 spec

Previously HDR referred to rendering a game in a larger color space and then clamping it on output so if the scene was mainly bright with a few dark spots it raises the black value, if it's mostly a black scene it lowers the bright point. Modern HDR is an increase in color space on the TV and unclamped color rendering Will edit with better explanation later

The latest 2 have lasted 4 years since. And I had maybe 2 people I knew that didn't have failures. Not to say my rural area is a cross section of all production, but it's really naive to say they were about on par After 2010/11 they are both rock solid probably equal.

The WIi u as far as I'm aware has 2 1080p 60 games and I'd assume it's less than 5, the ps4 has at least 30 and then more at 900 60. Nothing against Nintendo and Mario Kart 8 Bayonetta and most other first party non Zelda games being 720 60 is impressive for the hardware

Most people who complain about resolution in regards to ps4 are simply ignorant. Not to say it's intensely powerful of beyond criticism, but that's not an alley to bark down. And quoting the total software numbers for a console is pretty silly, there are like 140 or so retail WIi u games and it's a known thing that it has a scarce library

What it will do is upscale from variable resolutions like many current gen games do, but instead of dropping from 1080 down to 944 or so they will vary from 1080 to 4k depending on scene complexity. I absolutely think there will be 4k 3d games on it, not Witcher 3, but something like MGSV visuals or sports games

This hasn't been the case for a very long time and probably wasn't ever. There are something like 11 ps4 games that aren't 1080p. And there are like 40~ 60fps games on it, I don't know if the WIi u even has 40 games.

Graphics rendering is already a massively parallel operation, every triangle, every shadow every pixel is a parallel render, thats why GPU performance scales with core count unlike CPU perf

That's a tdp issue with the card, the game doesn't pull more power than furmark it can't There's something else going on with your system

That's within 5-10% and a 490 could deliver more power and have a better cooler

That means you can only "safely" pull 150, there isn't really a limit to how much you could pull through that connector, look at the 295X2 that pulled 550w through 2 eight pins (375)

That's the ONLY way to review cards, you compare at highest settings to know worst case senario per game
