  1. Thanks for in-depth information. it help me with considering the laptop.
  2. From what I can interpret your opinion; I assume you're talking about spectre x360 rather than the regular spectre. how is the fan audible though (Again I won't be using the laptop for gaming).
  3. Thank you for giving me the link and idea of comparison. I will try to find the english version of the review and see how things go from there.
  4. Hi everyone, I am looking forward to upgrade my old Asus Laptop to Hp spectre x360 or Hp spectre (12 inch model) or Razer blade stealth. I would like to hear you guys opinion and thoughts about it. My needs: -Battery life is very essential (I travel most of time like home to university, coffee store, out of states traveling etc) -I don't intend on gaming on my laptop since I already have ps4 -I consume multimedia (music, movies and anime) and do light to mid videos and photo editing -Use for my engineering course (AutoCAT, words, powerpoint, photoshop etc) -My budget is to spend less than $1500 My questions: -Which model has the best battery life (Regular use, no gaming) -Build Quality? -If you guys own any of the model I mention, tell me your thought about it. -If you guys felt that there are other better laptops than what i've mention, please let me know as well. I sincerely appreciate you guys opinions.
  5. I suppose many people play console because of the exclusive titles that offer on the specific platform (either PS or Xbox) and not offer on PC. There might be more reasons such as more affordable (I am not gonna argue PC performance vs console performance etc) and less power consumptions.
  6. No not really, unless there are more third party gaming (might be possible) and my ps4 and pc broke down.
  7. I don't know, I own both console (PS4) and PC for gaming. Though I am impress on the concept of the Nintendo Switch, the amount of game that Nintendo offer so far did not convince me to consider Nintendo platform at all.
  8. hmm you have a great point.
  9. Hi, I am looking to upgrade my old monitor 1080p 21-inch to either 27-inch (16:9) or 29-inch (21:9). What would be you guys thought about it? I don't mind resolution as much since I don't see much different on 1080p or 1440p. I don't mind whether it is gloss or matte as well. My usage for the monitor are for gaming (both pc and ps4) and multi-task work (spreadsheet, research, autocat etc for engineering class). My concern on 21:9 is that I will see black side bar on my ps4 when I play game on it. is it true? can it be fixed? Thanks guys for your replay. monitors that I am consider 21:9 https://www.amazon.com/LG-29UM68-P-29-Inch-21-UltraWide/dp/B01B9IDLAW/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1475802136&sr=1-2&keywords=21+9+monitor 16:9 https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Curved-27-Inch-Monitor-C27F591/dp/B01CX26VNC/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1475802197&sr=1-6&keywords=2k+monitor
  10. so I encounter a problem with my current mobo (which you guys can see the link and check the photo). In short my pcie gen 3 x16 slot has been torn out and now I am forced to use my 980 ti on x4 speed. Do you guys think I should get new mobo? if so which company I should go this time? if not, why? love to hear you guys thought on this. thanks alot. My budget to spend is $150-ish or lower. it will ATX size mobo link to see the issue : current spec: MSI z170 pc mate (to be change if possible) core i7 6700k Avexir core 8gb x2 2400mhz gtx 980 ti (gaming g1 series) 850 w evga psu
  11. that I thought so; is it worth it to grab a new mobo? if so, what company you guys recommend? I can only afford things price range $100 to $150-ish
  12. i try to put the plastic back in and to my surprise, i cannot put it in; on the plastic, i see 2 pin that seperate the part from one to the other (the hallow space you see). Is it worth the risk though? if I were to buy new mother board, which company you recommend me this time?
  13. hmm okay, what I worried is my gpu will sack my mobo and damage my mobo since it is heavy. (I post photo now) I guess I must have been not properly remove the retention clip (I post photo now)
  14. A few days ago, I remove my mother board out of my pc because my I want to upgrade my cpu (i5 to i7) and cpu cooler (cooler master to noctua). I try to remove my gigbyte 980 ti out of the pcie gen3 x16 slot (top slot) and it torn out the pin that was holding it (I already pushed the pin to unlock the locking mechanism already). Now I plugged in my gpu on the other pcie x16 slot (lower slot). I test everything and it seems to be fine but I somehow see a bit of performance dropped during gaming (dark soul 3). I checked the spec and found out that the lower slot of my x16 is running at x4 speed, Is there a way I can change the speed of it? thank you guys Note: everything is running fine other than abit of performance dropped My mobo support crossfire (not using it since I am using NVidia and also not gonna planned to did after I upgrade my mobo to next gen) No overclock on my gpu I will only consider upgrade my mobo unless there is something wrong with my current mobo (or you guys point out something super necessary). if not, I will wait until future gen cpu release If you guys need me to show you an image of it, I can try Spec: MSI z170 pc mate Core i7 6700k Avexir Core 8gb x2 2400 mhz Nvidia Gtx 980 ti (gigabyte g1 gaming) 850w evga g2 psu 1TB 7200rpm Seagate HDD 120gb crucial ssd
  15. that is what I am guessing as well since i tried my 600w psu and it is working fine
  16. no, I don't have any power surge protection. Also i forgot to mention as well; no power outtake during the time i gone to grab a few things
  17. hi, this is very important and I am worried about what is happening to my computer. A few hours ago, it work perfectly fine (I use my pc to play dark souls 3 for around 2 to 3 hours); after I closed the games and leave my room to grab a few things for myself (I check temperature of my components before I left the room and I found my cpu temp is 40 C max and my gpu is 70 C max). When I got back, I found out that my pc is shut down. I tried to turn it back on and then no luck. I tried to check every of my cables and everything is plugged in correctly. I also follow a few guides to determine what is going on and so far no luck as well. it keeps on auto-shutting itself down. I understand this is long but please help I don't to see what i have build 8 months ago died on me. What can I do to make my pc run normally again? I will to elaborate more things if you guys don't understand. my spec i7 6700k noctua nh d15 cpu cooler mobo : MSI z170a pc mate 16 gb ddr4 2133mhz nvidia gtx 980 ti (gigabyte gaming g1) 1tb 7200rpm seagate HDD 120gb crucial ssd 120gb sandisk ssd evga 850w psu *Note: I don't overclock any of my components I don't have on board speaker attach in my mobo I don't use RAID on my pc No LED light flashes indicating problems PC just acting like this 20 mins ago at the time of this post PC is shutting itself down 3 times now
  18. Myself, I prefer Nvidia more since my experience with it was more pleasant compare to my AMD experience. if you like AMD then by all means, go for it. Games run well not only on the raw performance of the gpu but also on how developers built the games itself (Hitman was build on AMD hardware so you are expected to see greater performance on AMD card compare to NVidia).
  19. consider rx 480 or gtx 1060. the review of gtx 1060 on LTT has just release today and from I can see is that, if you want to save yourself a few dollars, then go for rx 480; if not go for gtx 1060. I feel that it might be okay as well if you consider 1070 as long as you don't do overclock.
