  1. If you did it should be on your My Mini Factory dashboard, otherwise you could send them a mail, they may still add it.
  2. I hope he makes a dedicated video going straight to YouTube and Vessel so everyone sees it. If he only mentions it in a video YouTube will be a week behind on the news.
  3. It's really nice to hear that you like my design! Renders mostly do look a bit better than the printed ones. But I have to admit that My Mini Factory did a awesome job of printing mine, the quality looks way better than some other entry's.
  4. Hey all, I just got the mail! We can start voting for the Linus Tech Tips and Sliverstone Headphone holder design competition. The following link brings you to a list with all (over 700) entry of the competition: https://www.myminifactory.com/tag/competition-linus-tech-tips-headphone-design I urge everyone to look at them all and vote for your favorite design(s)! You vote by downloading the "STL" file. You don't actually have to print it or do anything at all with it. One download is one vote for the design. (the download should only be a couple of MB at max) I have looked at all entry and the links to my favorites are below. Here is a link to my entry, please look at every entry, not only mine and vote for the best one(s) in your opinion, but if you like my design it I do appreciate the vote! https://www.myminifactory.com/object/wall-mounted-headphone-holder-ltt-and-silverstone-contest-entry-8641 My Mini Factory has made a little video about the proses of making all the entry's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKMa0lKRwBk My personal favorites: Looks nice, and I like the little hook: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/linustechtips-headphone-stand-contest-entry-joe-b-9178 I like the design and it seems to have a nice big curve for solid support: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/silverstone-sound-shelf-7818 The wall portion looks really good and it seems like your headphone wont slide off at the front: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/headsethook-ltt-7899 I like the mounting mechanism, concealing the screws into the wall: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/minimalist-and-expandable-wall-mounted-headphone-holder-8203 This might not be the best one practically, but it sure looks great: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/hand-on-fire-8640 I like the idea, but maybe some other text.. https://www.myminifactory.com/object/head-phone-alex-9252 Just simple and elegant: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/silverstone-s-edition-wall-mount-8256 The right angle can surely be useful: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/expandable-headphone-stand-8369 This thing just looks like it would do a great job: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/silverstone-headphone-wall-mount-adam-huddart-9489 *edit => added my favorites.
  5. I found mine right at the top of the blogpost in the following picture, it is the red one . Seems like it has printed really well, support material isn't removed yet on the picture. Looking forward to the pictures they take of it! I'm really surprised at the amount of entry's they had to print and the time they did it in! Good job My Mini Factory! The blogpost: http://blog.myminifactory.com/post/122246582344/linustech-3d-design-competition
  6. Nothing to boast here 1920x1080 primary And an old 1280x1024 CRT as secondary I'm saving for for a third monitor...
  7. Just took a look for myself when I subscribed. 24 nov. 2008 Wow, I didn't realize it has been this long! And I don't think I missed a video Nice work Linus and crew!
  8. If I remember correctly it is a "Tech Station" from http://www.highspeedpc.com/category_s/1477.htm
  9. ^^ Use it with a bit caution, but it is a great program! I use it for years now and never had a problem. You would be surprised what regular uninstallers leave behind!
  10. Depends what you want to power, Some devices actually allow a range of voltage like 220V-240V. PC power supply's can usually deal with it.
  11. It doesn't really work that way, some keys are different in some country's like for example a exclamation mark on the 8-key. You would have to order new key-caps. There should be different versions withe the layouts for different country's as separate products. The name should be like this for example: Vengeance® K70 Fully Mechanical Gaming Keyboard — Anodized Black French Key Layout
  12. Some parts in a PSU are glued down so they don't vibrate under some specific loads maybe you have blown one of these loose. Not harmful for the functioning of the PSU but rather annoying. But is can be the fan to of course. You say the PSU is an older one so I assume there is no warranty left. You can always open it for a visual inspection. Be careful though!
  13. iracing maybe http://www.iracing.com/
  14. Dominator platinums are definitely a solid choice. I'm running 2 8gig sticks of Kingston hyperX beast 2400MHz since June 2014 without a problem.
  15. Don't worry, it will probably be the case anyway. My HDD (only storage) will stop frequently if not in use. It will consume far less power en make a lot less noise! It will add a little wear to the motor, but it is not that significant. And the advantages are far greater than the little extra wear. Edit I know there have been hefty discussions about this topic in the past. The HDD's bearings wear while running, start/stop cycles will wear the motor. One of those two will probably give at some point. But a modern HDD should be able to handle it's for it's life expectancy. And of course your drive might be the unlucky one which dies a bit quicker due to it, but by the time that happens you really should have a back up of your data. (You probably should always have a back up )
