  1. Cpu is properly installed. Pc is about a year old, issues are recent. No thermal issues.
  2. Alright so, I'm beyond confused right now. My Screen keeps flashing off then regaining connection. It also causes audio stuttering. All searches told me this was either gonna be power supply related, or gpu related. I bought a new power supply, nothing changed. So I bought a new GPU....same issue. Before I install drivers, it's just pretty laggy. After I install drivers, these issues start. I've tried multiple drivers, old ones, new ones, you name it. I'm baffled. Wondering if it's the motherboard, but at that point I'll have replaced half the parts in my pc, so I wanted to be sure. Dear lord please help. Specs: Ryzen 6 core 16Gb corsair lpx gpu: 1060 3gb (first) 1060 gb (now) Asus B350m-A MoBo Psu: Corsair 550w (first) thermaltake london 550w (now) 250gb SSD
  3. What about the Cas latency though? Will it automatically change that too? I guess if It doesn't, I can just change it manually though. I don't see how bumping the cas latency could be an issue if the stick is downclocked.
  4. A friend of mine offered me his 16gb ram kit (2x8gb). I have a similar set of ram, both are corsair LPX. Current set is CMK16GX4M2A2400C16 and the new set is CMK16GX4M2B3000C15. Now, I know there's issues mixing different brands. But, can I not downclock the new kit to 2400Mhz and Up the Cas Latency to 16? My thinking is, they're basically the same kit, just one was binned for speed. Is this possible? I'd pick up a similar 2400 Kit to mine, but the kit I'm potentially buying is going to be much cheaper than I could get elsewhere since it's through a friend.
  5. I checked out the e10k, it seems to emphasize bass quite a bit. And with that, coupled with the already somewhat bassy custom one pro's im slightly worried it could be overpowering. Am I being paranoid? or are there any other amp & dac units you recommend? thanks
  6. Recently bought a pair of custom one pro's as an upgrade to my crossfade lp2's, wondering what amd&dac to get to go with them, my budget is up to £100 ($156), preferably available in england, I already imported these beyers and the import tax and other charges are absurd, so no shiit or mayflowers, unless they add tax on to the order. Also I was unsure whether a tube amplifier would be better or not, I do slightly prefer the "funner" tone of the lp2's. I listen to techno, trance, other electronic genre's, melodic death metal, rock and some piano music. Thanks for any advice
  7. Ah I see, thanks for explaining it.
  8. Ah thankyou Cleared things up for me.
  9. Memory is the component I know the least about, so I'm a tad confused right now. I noticed that on newegg, some of the kingston HyperX Beast modules are labelled XMP, and some arent. Is there a difference? my motherboard only supports 1600mhz but lets you go higher with xmp, Just wondering because I'm using newegg global and I'd rather not get it then end up having to send it back halfway across the world. (for some reason the black pcb version on hyperX beast isn't available from my favourite etailer). Also, will quad channel work in a dual channel system? (ie: system is dual channel, but filling all 4 slots still).
  10. update: Malwarebytes currently running, been on for a minutes, found 15 objects, as opposed to 1 by adv systemcare..... I Definately needed a better antivirus
  11. Ran chameleon, its working at the moment. Fingers crossed whatever it is on my pc won't just close down malwarebytes like it does all my other programs. I think this is a lesson learned for me, regularly scan my pc haha.
  12. I have a virus/malware/whatever on my windows pc, It prevents me from booting into safe mode, downloading any antivirus/antimalware I can think of (hijackthis, malware bytes, avg, norton, etc), any idea how to fix this? it closes down any browser I use (chrome, firefox, opera, waterfox, I even used ie *shudders* ) if I type in certain keywords (virus, and one other I can't remember). System restore won't open, hijackthis and task manager both close the instant they are opened. Which is a massive pain in the ass since I have a computing project due tomorrow and I'm having to do everything on my linux laptop.
  13. awesome giveaway Linus. I'd share it on my Facebook, but I can't find the share for the Intel VIP thing anywhere. Community share: http://teksyndicate.com/forum/general-discussion/linus-giveaway/135857
