BakaTakasugi got a reaction from NeatSquidYT in Worst Tech mistake you have ever made?
That was back in 2002. I was trying to install Windows 2000 on a REALLY slow computer, yet for some reason, the whole OS installation was a failure, and I have to go over that boot menu every time I turn on my computer. So one day, for some reason, I thought deleting boot.sys can solve this problem, but it didn't, and it bricked my PC
And there is one time I accidentally formatted a hard drive full of family photos

Tandy (Radio Shack) TRS-80 model III with dual 360KB floppy drives, and a whole 48 Kilobytes of RAM!
Taught myself TRSDOS without a manual and made my own single player games, like yahtzee!
I also went to summer computer camp in 1985, which had Lego/Logo, which used the Lego Dacta appleII set, a set which allowed you to program an interface board to lego motors, lights, and sensors using an apple II computer.

In 2005 or 2006 I got my first computer, which was a laptop. I think it was a Toshiba Tecra 7xx or something like that. (PI, Win 95, dead spot in top corner of backlight, 5 minute battery, SLOW, etc.)
First desktop was in 2006 or 07. PIII 766MHz, 256MB RAM, 64MB Radeon, 1024x768 CRT, etc.
I haven't really had up to date tech until the end of 2012 when I upgraded from my P4 system. For a while my laptop was actually better than my desktop because it had a Core 2 Duo.. I could write for pages on my computer history.. (3 desktops and over 20 laptops..) The P4 system I got in 2009 started out as a crummy Compaq low profile desktop. By 2012 I had upgraded so much that literally the only parts that didn't change were the 3GHz CPU, heatsink, (Because it was reeeealy good. I still have it.) and the CD drive.
(Tecra 740CDT. I think this was the one I had.)
