  1. Love the display, linus may hate it, but its stunning as hell to me!!
  2. Hi, Does anyone know of any website or page that provides and intro and guide to custom IEM cables. I am intending to build my own IEM cables for my shure 535, but i cant seem to find any webpage or tutorials that provides some info on the the type of cables, diameter and stuff, as well as a how to guide on how to build my own Have any of you build your own cables before? mind sharing with me some tips and webpage for a beginner? as well as some help. I know some of basic parts that i need, but the problem is deciding on the type of wire, as i have no knowledge or clue except that there are Silver plated cables, pure silver cables and copper cables. Thanks If i manage to build my own cable, i would be more than happy to post a tutorial up here too.
  3. I don't see what the is the problem with is post, he is giving his opinion....
  4. Its pretty obvious that the Toys/Gaming channel is wanted as everyone would expect more content. but honestly, I believe a toy only channel would be best. It would probably produce better and more unique content. With a ton of existing gaming channels, the gaming part of the channel would get very dull very fast. But there is a lack of fun toys channel, and I would want to add those videos to my subscription, and not flood it with gaming videos that half a dozen other youtubers already provide.
  5. Oh, btw, I noticed that a number of these sever boards usually come with PCI slots, I understand legacy cards, but are PCI slots any useful for expansion in future such as raid cards? Is there any specific reason for going with a PCI slot vs a PCI-e for a sever application?
  6. Looking around for other boards, i found this celeron and the best part is that its less than a hundred bucks!!! It meets all of my requirements, has two gigabit port, and a PCI-E x4 slot for future expansion!!, the only problem i have is that it has a TDP of 17w.... So compared to an atom of say 6w TDP, would this be a better deal?? Also, not to mention that its a celeron, is it more powerful, comparable or weaker than an atom? also, TDP means max possible power, so if its idling, can i say that i would consume about the same power as an atom? or would getting a jetway atom board still be a better option.
  7. Thanks guys for the help, spend the some time looking at the boards. but there does not seem to be any yet for the dual core c2350, with a TDP of 6w, it would fit my needs perfectly, and would expect a lower price point. BTW do you guys know anyone else producing boards for these processors other than supermicro?? Edit: BTW I have tried googling for it, but keep coming back with reviews and performance stuff
  8. Wow, cause all i saw on wiki were the S series chips. but for say 4 drives, would the 8 core be overkill? so is it better for me to spend more on the 8core than to save for the S-series? and recommended board, and does it require any specialised knowledge to build a NAS from it?
  9. wow if the 8core is coming out anytime soon, then its a sure winner!!! man i think i would end up with a more overpowered sever than i plan. Just have to pray for a good price!!
  10. oh well, guess what i can do now i wait to see if intel releases any new atoms, or just get the pentium and the zotac board.
  11. yeah, i am not very familiar with the Atom line, but if there is a good board i would not mind it considering its much lower power draw.
  12. i am just using the nas for storage of my media and streaming to my com, any decoding is done on my com, so a powerful system is probably not needed. I had thought of the Atom, but from what i know, those boards are about a year or 2 old already. The reason i choose the G3220 is because i assume its on Haswell, and hence should have better power efficiency. (i could be wrong here) And i cant seem to find an atom board that has at least 4 sata 3 But if an atom can provide the power i need and save on cost, i could spend a bit more on a better casing, such as from U-nas, although i am not sure how good it is.
