  1. Nope unfortunately I didn’t. I used the opportunity to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 3600 which I don’t regret one bit. The performance jump was insane.
  2. This board has no integrated graphics support. If I put both my old 1060 and the new 2060S in it does the same thing I described above. Yes my BIOS is on the newest version but that one is quite old. It does have UEFI support though.
  3. I upgraded from a 1060 6 GB to this new 2060 Super but I'm unable to get past the BIOS splash screen. My specs: * CPU: i7 3770k 4c/8t @ 4.5 GHz * RAM: 4x4 GB (16 GB) Corsair XMS3 @ 1333 MHz * GPU: Palit GTX 1060 6GB Dual Fan @ 2.0 GHz * SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250 GB SATA 3 * HDD: WD Blue 1 TB SATA 3 * MoBo: Intel Desktop Board DP67BG * PSU: Corsair RM450 450W 80+ Gold Modular * CPU Cooler: BeQuiet! Pure Rock * OS: Windows 10 Pro 1903 x64 I've updated my BIOS to the latest version but it's from 2012 so that didn't help. I've also reset the BIOS and tried various different boot settings, turned UEFI support off and on again, different PCIe settings, etc. I've toggled them all. The problem remains exactly the same: PC starts, beeps once, the on-board code readout stays stuck on "Eb" which as per [the manual](https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005500/boards-and-kits.html) stands for "Calling Legacy Option ROMs". There's also a "Option ROMs" LED on the board that blinks constantly very fast. After a couple seconds there's a second beep and that's it. The screen shows the BIOS splash screen with the code 64 on the bottom right (this isn't in the manual). I can't progress from here. System is still responsive and I can Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart it. This is what it looks like: https://i.imgur.com/WUzPksY.jpg https://i.imgur.com/oVJUNpS.jpg I've tried the card in my brother's PC which is a bit older still with some low-end AsRock B65 board and a 3570k, there it works perfectly fine, boots straight into Windows and plays games. There doesn't seem to be a BIOS Update available for the card itself (not sure if that's even a thing anymore). I've also tried the bare minimum setup (CPU, 1 RAM stick, CPU power, 24-pin Motherboard power, GPU, GPU Power, everything else disconnected including rear I/O), didn't help. I'd really like to get this fixed because I really don't want to spend any more money on another board or justify spending another half a grand on a new board/CPU/RAM combo, though it's tempting... Any ideas? Thanks.
  4. The thing I like most about the G3 would definitely be the huge screen with the tiny slim bezels, I already liked the design of the Nexus 5 very much and this seems like the next step to take. Also the back-mounted buttons are interesting but I haven't had a chance to play around with them.
  5. I have Windows 8.1 so no Aero there. Even with no programs opened I still have 176MBs used, which is weird, even if I choose a solid color black background it won't go below 140MBs: http://imgur.com/StQO46e
  6. I temporarily had an AMD Card (5570) while I was waiting for my current GPU (my old 460 broke and I needed a fast replacement so I bought a used 560TI DCU2) I noticed that that thing had only 20MBs used while on the desktop, why is that?
  7. Hey guys, so this really annoys me: Windows and programs are using about 200MBs from my VRAM which means I only have 800MBs left for textures in games and that sucks because I can't play any game on high texture details at FullHD because the VRAM will get full and then it starts to lag. Now I'd like to know if I can somehow control which programs can cache their stuff into my VRAM or if I can tell it to automatically cache into my normal system memory or even better, the page-file. Application-Stuff doesn't need to be loaded as quick as textures in games and since I have an SSD it shouldn't slow anything down if programs load their images and stuff from the SSD Page file instead of the VRAM. I hope a program that let's me do this stuff exists because I want to enjoy high textures and not medium.
  8. Not available for PC unfortunately
  9. Yeah okay I'm now downloading ARMA 2 and try the ACE-Mod and project reality, thanks! @felixbearpig which game do you mean with "black"?
  10. I never actually played ARMA, I only bought it for DayZ but I'll download it and look into it, thanks The thing with Splinter Cell and Hitman is that I can't stand 3rd person in most games (ironically Dead Space is one of my favourite games), do you have any 1st person games of that kind? I already play L4D2, I'm enjoying it very much
  11. Hi guys, TL;DR: Do you know any tactical shooters with ressource-management and a high difficulty? I reinstalled Crysis a few days ago and I never actually played it on the highest difficulty (I used to play it on normal) and me being a fairly skilled shooter-player I just walked through the levels as if it were CoD. I never used the silencer, long range scopes or the binoculars and I also rarely used the cloaking-mode, no need for that, but now on the highest difficulty I have to be extremely careful, I have to think every step through, spot every enemy before engaging into an area and quicksave very, very often. You missed an enemy when you were spotting and now he's right behind you? Guess what, you're dead. The only thing I don't like about Crysis is that ammo is not really rare, I'm running around with full ammo for all weapons all the time, I'd like to have a game where the ressources are extremely scarce and every bullet is valuable, like in Dead Space on the highest difficulty. I played DayZ before, i really really liked it, but it was too buggy and the performance was terrible, I will buy it once it's final, but for now I'd like to know if you know any shooters that have all the characteristics that i discribed above, slow, difficult gameplay, scarce ressources and harsh punishment for mistakes. Things like Health-Packs or bandages, armor and camouflage, damage-model for all weapons so that you have to repair or replace them, attatchments for the weapons, maybe a little crafting-system for all this stuff, that would be awesome. I don't really care about graphics, if the game has good graphics, nice to have, but not a necessity. Mod-Support would be nice though. Maybe I'm asking for too much and the game I described above doesn't even exist, but if it does, please let me know Thanks in advance for your time and help, happy new year!
  12. yeah since I will need to re-partition my current HDD anyways I decided to save all documents, savegames and all other important stuff onto a USB drive and then completely wipe my 640GB HDD.
  13. Well okay that's a bummer then... I'll be keeping this board for a few months (I'll build a new PC when Star Citizen comes out) Are you sure that this won't damage the SSD in any way?
  14. And what about TRIM? Is that an AHCI-Only feature or is that a windows-thing? I think TRIM is very important for the longevity of the device
  15. Hey guys, so apparently my ASUS P5KPL-AM SE does not support AHCI, since I will be getting my Samsung 840 tomorrow I wanted to know if that's really that big of an issue. I am aware of the fact that my board only has SATA 2 and that this wil slow the SSD down quite a bit, but what happens if I don't have AHCI? thanks for your time and help in advance.
