Currently using a chinese brand hotswappable switches mechanical keyboard with outemu reds, a4tech mouse and a hyper x cloud core. I just want to win the mouse. But if I win the whole bunch. I'm gonna give the headset to my bestfriend because his current crappy mic sounds like radio static.

If I'm lucky enough to win, I'd like to get my hands on the tesoro keyboard

Help with too cheaply good to be true i5-4460
jarude37 replied to 47avG's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Here is his ad on Tipidpc.com. I confirmed it with him. http://www.tipidpc.com/viewitem.php?iid=36218570 I wouldn't call him a terrible seller but more of a lazy to put up a good ad kind of seller. So I went and bought this from him through a meetup. Actual Pictures (Sorry about the poor quality): http://imageshack.com/a/img537/7906/52BkDD.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img538/4862/WxNH5F.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img911/5341/ZVChOy.jpg At 1st I thought it was a fake due to certain differences like no intel hologram sticker, no mcaffee promo on the front, different sticker on the heatsink & fan, etc. So I panicked thinking that I was scammed with a very good chinese counterfeit. I checked the intel warranty and it is still available. FPO: X503B436 http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/warranty Check the model number etc. with the one on the box and it is correct. While googling, I discovered these documents: http://qdms.intel.com/dm/i.aspx/2454C8F8-F2E8-4FB7-B0CB-420FB619A1D6/PCN113226-00.pdf http://qdms.intel.com/dm/i.aspx/3FF6B116-F7B0-4A1A-A05A-0023A8BDB49C/PCN113455-00.pdf http://qdms.intel.com/dm/i.aspx/B1B57868-2C78-477D-AD3B-BA6C722298EE/PCN112877-00.pdf http://qdms.intel.com/dm/i.aspx/07AC16ED-6AC2-4666-A309-54EFEF239E21/PCN112976-00.pdf https://qdms.intel.com/dm/i.aspx/526B5360-DD08-49B4-980C-60ACF9A37021/PCN113068-00.pdf All of the changes were documented and it helped me verify that the product was authentic. Hope this helps anyone planning to buy from him here in the philippines. =) -
Thanks for the fast reply.

I am a first time pc builder. I have a question about intel graphics media acclerator drivers. Is it really needed? I have a gtx 960. Will the geforce drivers have a conflict with the intel graphics media accelerator drivers? Any help on this will be very much appreciated.

Please give me one.

UPDATE!!! I am now favoring on buying the intel build. I have found new parts to replace the old ones on my list. Processor: Intel I5-4460 (6.500 Php = 144.80 USD) Motherboard: ASUS H97M-E (4,160 Php = 92.67 USD) GPU: ASUS GTX 960 Strix (10,770 Php = 239.92 USD) *MSI one costs around 13,000 Php(293.81 USD). RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB Single DDR3 1866 CL10 (3,450 Php = 77.97 USD) *Plan to upgrade to 16 GB dual channel in the future. Also need clearance for Cooler Master Hyper 212X. I will move the fan slightly higher as to not affect the cooling performance. CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212X (1,650 Php = 37.29 USD) *Not included in the Intel Route. Will upgrade in the future if I'm not satisfied with max load temps due to the high temperature in the Philippines. HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB (2,590 Php = 58.54 USD) PSU: EVGA 500B 500 Watts 80+ Bronze Power Supply (1,950 = 44.07 USD) *Most reasonably priced PSU with 80+ bronze rating, good reviews, and haswell ready if I decide to go the Intel route. Casing: Coolermaster N200 (Windowed Version) (1,750 = 38.98 USD) TOTAL: 31,150 Php = 693.92 USD Please give me feedback on my choice of parts list. I have made a list also in pcpartpicker.com for comparison. (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3FtxCJ) I wasn't able to find a decent h81 motherboard so I went with a cheap but very good ASUS motherboard as recommended by Linus.

I plan to build this once I decide which route to go. I think if the promises of directx12 is true, I might go with a fx-6300 and allot more of the budget to the GPU. Just hope that it doesn't bottleneck a 970 in directx12. Also looking forward to the Radeon 300 Series againts the Nvidia 900 series so this proposed parts list can change until Directx12 benchmarks.

I would probably choose the 970 over the r9 290 because the lowest price I've seen for it is around 18,500 Php = 407.09 USD while the 970 is around 16,000 Php = 361.86 USD.  I don't like to go over the budget so I might still stick with the 960 because I plan to stick to 1080p and it seems plenty enough.
