  1. Thank you and one more thing before you go... is this the correct place for it or do you think this should this be under networking? I know way more about networking than windows. The most I've done is look at event viewer and google it!
  2. Thank you for the help and the joke! Sorry, I'm just a little freaked out.
  3. Magic packets are at layer 2, so they would have to be crafty to have it enter my network. It stopped when I shutdown the interface to the internet and cleared the nat translations. Right now I'm just worried if they got into anything and if it was an attack. I don't know where to go from here.
  4. I actually unplugged the link to the internet and after I did that it stopped trying to turn on. ----------------------- Sorry I don't know how to use this forum. jk
  5. Well, I actually unplugged the link to the internet and after I did that it stopped trying to turn on.
  6. This occurred at 11:40ish at night. I have wake-on-lan turned on in Windows and in the BIOS. Has anyone heard of windows update turning on a fully turned off computer? Is this an attack on my network or just Microsoft going overboard?

  8. Why do processors slow down and decay? Stuff like: Integrated Circuit Aging Transistor Aging Silicon Decay What is the purpose of the Crystal Oscillator? Semiconductors Slowdown Not just Window PC, but like smartphones and others. Like buying two Laptops: one with heavy use for an extended amount of time, maybe a year, and the other put in storage. If you compare them, after a fresh installation, will one be slower? Thank you,
  9. There are 15 different verions of the Dell XPS 13 2015 edition and there are like a ton of different versions of Macbook Air's. I'm talking about the Dell with the i5 and the Mac with the i5 and same clock speed. Also Boot Camp will take care of all the drivers I need.
  10. Wouldn't that be clock speeds? I'm talking about comparing apples to apples literally. lol
  11. I have been looking between the Macbook Air and the Dell XPS 13. There is no doubt about installing windows on the Mac. I don't know if there are optimization problems with windows on a Mac. The two versions that I'm looking at are pretty similar in performance but I'm assuming that is the mac running OS X. Does anyone have experience in performance issues after installing windows using boot camp (NO VIRTUALIZATION).
