  1. Sorry for not making much sense but you've explained it perfectly! Its the echo json bit that helps me. Thanks!
  2. Sounds like windows is going into 'sleep' when it should be 'shutting down'. Have you tried logging out then shutting down?
  3. I would recommend the software 'WAMP' (Windows Apache MySQL PHP i think it stands for). It lets you get HTML files (ones that make websites) and host them so anyone can see them. I would suggest doing some reading online before jumping into tutorials but its all very easily doable and I wish you the best of luck! Let us know how it goes
  4. Hey all! I am doing my advanced higher computing in my last year of school and as part of the course we have to complete a project of our choosing. I have chosen to do an Online Course Choice Selection system which basically lets you pick your subjects for school online compared to the old paper system that schools across Scotland currently do. However I have come to a problem. I have a working Log In system however I think i have done it a crazy way. I have it so when you press the submit it redirects to a PHP file does the MySQL work then redirects back to the next javascript page. However thats not the problem as that all works fine. My issue is that I have created a page that displays all of the information of everyone who has used the system to the admin. To do this I need to save get all the data from MySQL using PHP then i have set up the javascript so it takes in lists and displays them and i cant do the redirecting because i cant have it send hundreds of cookies. So basically i want to know how i can make a page read data from the MySQL server then output it to a list i can read in Javascript. Sorry for the long post i just thought it would make more sense if I gave some background. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Gavin
  5. Ah now thats a good idea. Thanks. Ill definitely give that app a try too
  6. I did actually try it with different shorts but i just couldnt do it
  7. Thanks! Had no idea these exsisted!
  8. Thanks thats really useful will use that from now on. Although the problem is just the faff of syncing it at all. Like my phone just has the newest podcasts and such like
  9. I wear a wicker (Think that name is a UK thing so if you are not UK you probably have no idea what i mean) tshirt thing which has no pocket
  10. I recently started running quite a lot. I really cant run without music. The problem is that when i run i wear loose fitting shorts and I have a 5 inch Xperia Z which means that there is no chance it will remain in my pocket for more than 10 seconds. So far I have been using a really old ipod that is not ideal because when i want to put a new podcast or audio book on i have to faff about with itunes which i dont have to do with my phone. I know you can easily get those armband things but i have really small arms and i feel that my big phone would just be uncomfortable to run with on my arm. Any other runners have a solution?
  11. I want to find a program that will back up my USB as soon as it is plugged in. I want it to do it in the background. Any help is appreciated Thanks Gavin
  12. I have a Sony Xperia Z and I would like to be able to stream the sound output from it to my PC. I know there are several apps that work the other way but I am yet to find one that does what I want. The reason I want to do this is because my PC is hooked up to my wireless headset and if I start listening to a podcast I have to faff about with wires and its not worth the effort.
  13. Yes the motherboard is on standoffs. Ill try and build it out the box
