zocki5 reacted to airENOwevEr778 in Looking into getting new smartphone
Thought the same unless you plan on downloading many videos and keeping many photos. Even with a micro SD I never went over 50% of the total storage of my phone.
Btw, can vouch for old Sony flagship phones mentioned above.

Awesome dude, this actually works!
Great stuff. Got all my shit transfered over to a backup and Firefox is up and running again.
Thanks a bunch! ;D

I found it in "AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\YOUR_PROFILE_NAME\sessionstore-backups"
where YOUR_PROFILE_NAME is name of your profile (probably just look around in the profiles folder
This file seems cryptic in wordpad however I can see URLs I have used so you should be able to extract them with something which can read json files.
Good luck.

They fixed the no close/minimize button within 12 hours...
Maybe launch it without an internet connection, you will have to reload your tabs again but it shouldn't load the rogue script.
Open 300+ tabs in chrome?? The guy doesn't have a fully filled Epyc server ?
About blank is the new tab page, did you really have 700 new tab pages open?
If it cannot load at all you could delete your session.restore (or something similar) to delete the backup of that session.
Also I recommend setting browser.sessionstore.interval in about:config to a higher value. Per default it saves your session every 15 seconds, way to frequently , to something like 180000 (3 minutes, it is measured in milliseconds)

Firefox restores from a sessionrestore.js file. It may be that became corrupted (Saving 400+ tabs every 15 seconds who can blame it XD) but you may be able to open it with another browser/program and extract the links. Firefox will have documentation on this sort of thing.

Additionally before you abandon Firefox for good try increase the content processes in settings (uncheck recommended performance settings). Firefox would have been trying to run all those tabs on 4 processes! Chrome uses more processes simply when launched.

zocki5 reacted to jrod21 in Expansion cards not going all the way in
Hi, no worries I understand ;), I didn't returned the case since I bought it a few years ago, instead I talked to a friend who works with metal and removed some rivets that support the mobo tray and push it forward to insert new ones, then drilled a hole to support some more pressure using a bigger screw, not the most appealing thing but at least it worked out.
Take a look

Hi pal, i think you were right about the case, i noticed it's a bit bent and that's why the mobo is sitting lower than it should.

zocki5 reacted to jrod21 in Expansion cards not going all the way in
Yes I'm aware of that, that's my major concern as parts are standarize these days. I had to remove those little holders above the expansion slot holes but I haven't test that yet. Take a look https://imgur.com/S6km9uV
And yesterday I got to test my hardware. At first i was really scared since my board was turning off and on again and again but after a while I shut it off and after a couple of mins turn it back on and it did post. I was using an old amd heat sink with thermal paste applied temp were ok so I guess wasn't the cooling's fault.

Lens wise the 18-105 f/4 is probably a better choice than the 55-210 as you will get a some wide angle too. For really closeup stuff the 30mm macro could be a good choice. That is probably what lenses I would pick for something like this. Sure the 18-105 is a bit more expensive but it will work in pretty much all situations which is good.

Glad I could help. You don't have to spend $150 dollar or something on that ready made turntable, you can find some DIY ways of doing things. Those acrylic boards from eBay are cheap and if anything happens you can replace them easily.
When I first entered the industry I learned a lot of great tips and tricks from those who have been working for far longer, I'm just passing on the wisdom gained. There are many areas of production where you can save money (unfortunately cameras and audio are not included).

As for the camera, the A6300 is a nice camera but you want to use a 55-210mm zoom lens? My concern would be less about the lens being a zoom lens and more about the focal length ranges. The A6300 is an APS-C sensor camera, and I think even on the 55mm end it may be a bit too tight. Think about the distance between camera and subject, for product filming you'll probably want the camera to be close.

zocki5 reacted to Syntaxvgm in most terrible problem ever
This is not the most terrible problem ever. Some years ago I was testing a stack of systems and one had a power supply the blew up like a string of fire crackers and shocked the hell out of me when I plugged it in. Did this shock and burn you? Didn't think so.

Okay. Here are some pics:
I have to say, it's internals are beautiful, this was over designed. You can tell where the $800 went to.
Heatsink:
Mainboard and shielding. You can see the Cell Processor.
And the PSU has all Japanese caps!

What could be better than one LG 34UC97 curved 3440x1440 display? How about 3 of them powered by two Sapphire R9 290X 8GB cards...
Give us your game suggestions down below! What do you want to see running at 10320x1440?

You should use Far Cry 3 or maybe 4 when in comes out.
Why should you?
Far Cry 3/4 is fps and driving some cars have tops on them.
With my oun experience its fine but with that high of a resolution might be wierd unless it have scaling.
I have three 1080p monitors.
I would love to see it run far cry 3/4!!!!!

Some obvious choices include Skyrim, Arma 3, Battlefield 4, Crysis 1/3 and any RTS game.
I'd also be curious to see how it handles games that are best known for being console games, including: Far Cry 3, Assassins Creed 4, Watch_Dogs, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

I must say DCS world with the A-10C module will be perfect for that setup. A racing game like race room would be good to.

Linus & Friends, you should give BeamNG a try on that bad boy. It's an alpha game that has hyper-realistic vehicle deformation.
Check it out here: http://www.beamng.com/content/
I'd love to see how it handles it on that beast.
