  1. Okay, thanks for your help. Guess I’ll have to confront the landlord
  2. Okay, do you have any suggestions or are you now stumped? (I know remote diagnostics isn’t easy... done it enough myself)
  3. Just attempted another speedtest and got it to work, I peaked at 41MB/s briefly so that’s probably fibre I assume? Tracert 8.8.8.8 showed 2ms for 192.168.1.1 and then 13 instances of a request timing out followed by * / 1837ms / 650ms for 8.8.8.8 Copying a file from one laptop to another using WiFi sustained an average of 2.5MB/s
  4. I’m aware that the ISP is Virgin Media. I also can’t perform a Speedtest 90% of the time as it fails to load properly due to the poor connection
  5. I’m connected via WiFi as the access point is on the ceiling in the hall with no ports. I know that fibre is in the area and available however 15mb/s isn’t quite fibre speed so adsl I guess? there are no labels on the access point as well so sadly I’m working on very minimal info
  6. Just moved into my new accommodation and connected to the network provided by my landlord. They stated that they have been getting emails saying how the ISP is working on improving internet speeds in the area which will explain if it goes down (I now believe she was just covering her back). Upon research there is no further improvements being done by Virgin or Openreach in my area however 98% of the time my internet is <6kb/s but occasionally spikes as high as 11mb/S for a merely a second. Using ping -t 8.8.8.8 it hovers around 3200ms and to 192.168.1.1 it’s consitently under 5ms... Obviously I don’t have full access to router settings but is there anything I can do before going to my landlord who, let me remind you, probably lied to cover up the poor internet solution they have in place? Thanks in advance, Adam
  7. I've given that a go but it doesn't scale quite right as the Blade's res is 3600x1800 not true 4k. In other words, it looks awful and results in me just choosing not to stream in favour for a bearable gaming experience. Cheers anyway
  8. Hello Internet, Wasn't sure whether to post this here or under the "Display" sub-forum as you will find out soon. I currently stream on Twitch occasional but want to get more into it, however it's an utter ball-ache. Whilst at Uni I use my Razer Blade (Late 2016 GTX1060 4K... blah blah blah) and because of the resolution it is a nightmare to setup with my Razer Ripsaw capture device (when using my second laptop as the encoder) or even running OBS Studio on the Blade. As the 1060 can't run every game at 4K I run the majority of games at 1080p which requires me to change the input settings for the Ripsaw and OBS s it doesn't show "Out of Signal Range"; this means when I tab out of game or change games, the resolution changes and so it shows "Out of Signal Range" again... tab back into a game and it will show to be working again on OBS but the actual Twitch stream would have a frozen image and it would just have the audio. Is there a possible fix for this? If not do I just have to deal with it/buy a 1080p monitor. If the second is the case, when I head back home, I use a 1440p monitor... I was contemplating upgrading monitor anyway but now I'm thinking, do I get a 1080p G-Sync monitor instead of the colour accurate 1440p/4K one I would have? TLDR; Twitch stream dies when I alt-tab due to resolution changing from 1080p to the 4k native res of the desktop... Any fixes other than buying a 1080p monitor? Thanks in advanced
  9. Does anyone have the link to the unedited version of the rap?
  10. I love both Sony and the Z2. Waterproof, aluminium and glass, front facing speakers and a camera much better then mine on the Nexus 5. I have also been admiring Dbrand's skins recently and am tempted to buy one but just can't decide what colour but now I know I want the LTT Skin. Thanks for the great vids, thanks for the awesome skins and thanks for the opportunity to win this package.

  15. Hello, I'm trying to help my grandparents out to get there printer working which is a HP LaserJet 6L. The issue I am having is that the computer can see that the printer is connected (via USB) but it doesn't recognise that it is a printer and is therefore under the "Unspecified" in device manager. I have tried adding it by right clicking and clicking add a device but when it then installs the drivers it then says I need to troubleshoot it but it cant fix it. Any ideas? Thanks guys/gurls.
