  1. Yes indeed, but I meant standard atx size of mobo, and the two smaller sizes
  2. yes something along those lines. I don't mind paying a bit more if there is a better M-ATX board
  3. I just need to shrink down my case and system in general.. maybe micro-itx or what is the name of the size between itx and mini itx
  4. Yes exactly I didn't want to sound stupid but that's what I heard/read. zen 5 is big/little. But AM5 should be the first move to DDR5 which I saw some crucial sticks clocking at 6,4 GHZ!
  5. Perfect ! I'm trying to figure out whether or not to got mini ITX build... COnsidering I have a PCIE wifi bluetooth card already that I'd rather reuse
  6. Currently; here in france the 5800x retails at 437 Euros, which is basically 20 euros BELOW MSRP. The 5600x is at 349. I'd say future proofing with two extra cores is better no?
  7. Sorry I misread earlier, I thought you said R5 5600x instead of 3600x... While I agree that the 3600x is cheaper, the gap in performance is quite significant. I currently have the money to upgrade so i'll take latest gen but thanks
  8. So you definitely wouldn't wait for the move to AM5 and DDR5?
  9. In theory, what would happen with the move to big/little architecture? I get it it's more power efficient but to me it sounds like we'd lose perf....
  10. Not at all I think my CPU is pretty old... I can't even run the battlefield games 4, 1, V without cranking everything to the max and increasing the resolution at which I run it to get cpu usage down from 100%...
  11. Here I can find the 5800X for 439 euros and the 5600x for 359 euros. I had planned a full upgrade with 3600Mhz CL 14 16gb ram and X570 mobo but as I said idk if I should upgrade right now
  12. Hello there, I've been struggling with deciding whether or not I should upgrade my CPU right now or wait for AMD to move to AM5 and DDR5. I currently own an I7 3700 (non-k) 16 GB of DDR3 1866 and RX Vega 56 (flashed to 64). I was thinking of upgrading to AM4 with a ryzen 7 5800x... Let me hear your thoughts! Thanks alot
  13. Alright mate if there's no other way I guess i'll stick to that plan :(. I kinda wished I could find a battery with the same output specs but with a higher capacity that would fit into the chassis Thank you for your answer
  14. Hello guys, so I'm a university student and I'm using a lenovo y50-70. I'm facing somewhat of an issue daily, and that is the duration of the battery. I'm currently pulling at max 2hours and 15 mins on 1/4th of max brightness power saving mode and reduced voltage on the CPU. The original capacity of the battery is 54Wh and right now it's down to 36Wh. So of course i'm looking to replace it. The specs are Nominal 7.4V 7400mAh, and I'm looking for a higher capacity one but haven't been able to find one so far. Any information is helpful ! :) Thank you for your attention
  15. Already done that and the monitor wouldnt even display on the motherboards HDMI so i had to reset the CMOS
  16. The card is running but its not being recognized, it doesnt display anything and the motherboard doesnt see it on either of its PCIE slots.
  17. Is there a way to be sure? Appart from testing the card into another computer?
  18. Hello guys, so this morning I woke up turned on my computer and the screen didnt display anything. I have my graphics card, a R9 280 connected via HDMI to my Monitor. I switched the HDMI from my graphics card to the motherboards connector and I restarted the computer, went into the Bios to check if the motherboard recognized a graphics card on its PCIE and it didnt. The motherboard is an Asrock z77 extreme 4. My graphics card supports dual bios so i tried switching but nothing happened. I tried switching PCIE slots but the card still isnt recognized. Thanks for taking the time to read, your help is appreciated.
  19. So the only thing that affects the speed is the mobo and the memory controller on the cpu?
  20. Hello guys, there is a cheap deal for 8 gb or 2400 mhz ram, and i do wonder if i'll be able to get those speeds with my currents setup. ( i5 3470 + asrock z77 exterme 4)
  21. Okay thank you very much for your help, it was very appreciated. @Johannes_Lazor
