  2. Really? I've heard that the Define r4 is pretty crap for watercooling especially compared to the R5. I do like the look of the Dark Rock Pro 3 though. The Noctua D15 is nice but I still can't get over their brown scheme. I've been trying to color match stuff the best I can because before I had a mobo with blue PCIe and RAM slots with red RAM and it was not very pleasing to the eye through the window. (I might just be too picky about this stuff though, hah)
  3. Hey, so a few weeks back I upgraded to a 4690k and 980ti and they've been performing great. But I only have the stock cooler for my 4690k and want to experiment with OCing with Intel (as I've only had AMD before). Under load with Intel Burn Test it gets up to a toasty 85c with the stock cooler . So I obviously need a new cooler for it. I have a $100 budget for the cooler and I want to go air cooling because my define r4 doesn't really have too much water-cooling options. I want it to be fairly quiet under load even with a decent OC (maybe up to 4.5ghz if I'm lucky) And I'm also trying to fit it in with my red/black color scheme I have going on with my MSI Gaming 5 mobo and MSI Gaming 6G 980ti. So what would be your recommendation? Also I think I also need better airflow within my case. Currently I only have the 2 stock 140mm fans in my define r4. My GPU gets up to 80c under load and I think more air going to it would be better. I just purchased a 5.25 to 3.5 inch adapter to place my HDD in my unused 5.25 bay and I'll be putting the SSD behind the mobo so I'll be removing the bottom HDD cage. That opens up an airflow path for an additional 140mm intake fan in the front. Would an additional 140mm intake help with the GPU temps? If so, whats a good 140mm fan to put there? Heres a crappy diagram I made in paint of my airflow: Full System Specs: Intel i5 4690k @ stock MSI Gaming 5 z97 motherboard MSI Gaming 6G 980ti @ 1420mhz boost 24gb DDR3 (2x4 & 2x8 kits @ 1600mhz) 500gb 850 EVO SSD 3tb Toshiba 7,200rpm HDD Rosewill 630w Green Series PSU Fractal Design R4 Blackout case
  4. Happens all the time for me. In borderless windowed mode it's less annoying, but your mouse still sticks to the little skype window
  5. 2nd monitor, and some white LEDs for inside the case
  6. I've had the rival for a few months, no complaints here. Can't say for the g502, never used it. The rival does have the RGB backlight and suits long hands nicely.
  7. Oiling didn't work, so I submitted a RMA to MSI
  8. Weird, maybe this? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7736362 I suck at formatting, its an msi 7870 oc edition
  9. I'd like to lube my GPU fan but Im not sure how to get it out. This is my gpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127722 I noticed a few screws on under the fan like this one circled in blue: Perhaps those will get the fans out?
  10. What power supply? You could definitely try, but beware when opening the PSU because some of the capacitors can still hold a charge. If it's still under warranty you could RMA it.
  11. Here's the video I took a few days ago of the noise (this was from the old PSU, new one sounds similar). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z-_CZ6JEaM
  12. Definitely doesn't sound like that, that'd annoy me even more then the buzz currently
