I've found nudging my R9 390 down to 800MHz and that seems to have stopped them. Stock is 1000. Don't know if this applies to the newer cards but it is worth a try.

If you're using a VPN try connecting to a different server and restart FaH. That seemed to work for me.

I happen to have that board and you should be good for whatever, the board will throttle the CPU before damaging itself in any case. If you are really paranoid you may want to try to get a temperature probe on the mosfet heat sink though since it can get hot. Though the D14 is designed to give it some cooling, that why the middle fan hangs out the bottom. Also there is a piece of plastic on that heat sink which is hard to see but needs to come off.

BeQuiet! might be a third option if you want a better balance between looks and performance.

The reason is Intel is more limited in what it will (officially) support for instance limiting the voltage to 1.5V whereas AMD will accept 1.65V kits.

If you liked the phantom look the 630 should be around the same price and can handle a fair bit of water without any modding needed.

Unfortunately none of those will fit without some modding. In the roof the mounts for 140mm fans are not spaced correctly for the X60 and so would need new ones drilling, and the end tank of the H220 means it will not fit without cutting away some metal. You can, if your really want to remove the ODD and HDD mounts by drilling out the rivets. That would let you mount any of those including H320 in the front, you could then expend it as you wish including adding as slim 240 in the roof however at his point you are almost better of with a full custom loop. so you can fit a thick 360 with a tube res int he front.

You can't over tighten the screws they have a stop on them at which point the force the springs are exerting is correct, just make sure you tighten them in an X pattern.

No it isn't. For AMD the PCIe controller is on the north bridge, hence why different chip sets have different numbers of PCIe lanes. Also a 990FX board has the same PCIe bandwith as a Z87 board! 32 x PCIe 2 = 16 x PCIe 3 so it won't be then bandwidth stopping them. They could put a requirement of having that mount of bandwidth tough.

See if you can get the Xeon E3-1230 V3, which is the Xeon I'm you will want. Its basically a i7 4770 with slightly (100-200Mhz) lower clock speeds and no on board graphics. Since it sounds like the on board graphics won't benefit you it's a better option than the i7 just because its a ton cheaper. So that leaves us with the 8350 vs 1230 V3. Well we now need benchmarks, and from what I can see it's close but the Xeon should just eek out a victory there at least at stock. Of course if you're overclocking things might change but then you'd be looking at the 4770k and you'd be introducing more risk of instability of course!
