    BSOD

This might be a little long but... So this all started when I was trying to make my xbox controller work with Dark Souls PTDE on my PC (I have a belkin bluetooth dongle that I used for this, which will become important later). I was only partly succsessful as the only buttons that worked with my controller in the game where A and B, in order to navigate the menus I had to use my mouse(did not manage to fix this so if you have any suggestions I'd really appreciate them). So I searched around on the internet, and found a video adressing this issue, This one: I did as the video said, and disabled my Hid compliant game controller in device manager. My PC then promted me restart which I did. So while booting I had my first BSOD - DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - caused by wdf01000.sys. The pc restarted and had the same BSOD again. This continued right until I had the bright idea to remove my belkin bluetooth usb dongle, wich as it turns out actually fixed my issue. I then plugged the dongle back in after my pc had booted up and was greeted with the same BSOD as before. As a final test I tried plugging it into a different usb-port but that made no difference still cvaused a BSOD. So I suppose it's the dongle that is the issue. Is there anything I can do to make it work again or do I have to use my controller wired now? And do you have any ideas on how to make the controller work with Dark Souls, more than just the A and B buttons?
  2. So I should still worry even though the problem is gone for now?
  3. Oh dear... That I can do
  4. Its a GTX 1080. Since GPU Boost does such a good job at overclocking, I did not see much benefit in overclocking it myself. All I was doing was watching the E3 stream with a few other tabs and programs open.
  5. Video of what happened: So is this just a bad overclock, or is it something else? I've had this overclock for 12 months now though... Restarted the PC and now it's doing fine. It has been a couple of days since it happened. Edit: Its a CPU overclock BTW
  6. If you look at the case on the top left of the bottom image you can see that the casse has cutouts on both sides of the case. Seems unnecessary if one of the speaker grills is just for aesthetics.
  7. How is that an 8-pin? The two extra pins are unplugged...
  8. Title speaks for itself, is it worth the 10% difference in price?
  9. Yeah, the whole point of polaris was always touted as being the best fps per watt/per dollar budget GPU. But looking at the power draw, if I'm not mistaken, the card is as power hungry as a 1070, but performs like a 970... If nvidia gets their pricing right with the 1060, AMD is really gonna have a struggle selling 480s in my mind - wich let's be real, is really not what us consumers need right now with NV already enjoying a very comfortable lead on AMD.
  10. To me it really does not matter wich claims are true or not. If AMD had just gone with an 8 pin in the first place, many if not all of the genuine complaints would not be here today, wich in turn would certainly get rid of all the fake ones. Simply put: AMD brought all this bad PR on themselves. Edit: Oops double post
  11. Statement from sharkgaming.dk's facebook page: We have created some wrong claims regarding ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 OC, where we have told customers that we can not deliver the graphic card any time soon, because of no cards in production from ASUS because of a high RMA rate. So we recommended customers to cancel their orders. This is a misunderstanding from our side, and it is not the truth. It was an assumtion based on no deliveries. ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 OC is in production and delivery is only limited at this moment. We regret the misunderstanding and look forward to offer our customers the graphic card.
  12. Not sure how reliable this information is, but I just asked the people over at komplett.no - Norways biggest online tech store - if they had experienced the same issues. (I currently have an order there for the exact same product.) According to them they hadn't experienced anything abnormal with RMA numbers. Really hoping there's some truth to it as I've already been waiting a month for my card, and I still haven't got it and I most certainly don't want to send it back once I get it.
  13. My bad, it's in your original post...
  14. Has any of what you say in your post changed with pascal? Personally interested with sli and dsr (possibly) combined with G-sync. Looking at running two 1070's in sli. BTW do you think that's a good idea at the moment?
  15. Quick question: Is it clear yet if DSR(Dynamic Super Resolution) is supported in sli with Pascal, or has it been fixed now?
  16. Well, we'll have to wait till tomorrow then...
  17. Already checked all cable connections, and reseated the cpu (aswell as looking for bent pins)
  18. Sadly did not work Alredy did, and didn't work wasn't an error light, just the power led
  19. So my friend just finished his build, but when we turn the system on nothing comes up on our monitor. He's currently using the integrated graphics chip, since his GPU hasn't arrived yet. First off, we connected the VGA output on his motherboard to his moms monitor, but we did not get anything up on the screen. The fans of our NZXT coller aswell as pump started up(they are connected to the waterpump itself, wich is connected directly to the psu), but his other systemfans wich are connected to his motherboard did not move(I just assumed it had something to do with pwm/dc compatibility and that we just had to change som settings in bios. Since we did not get any signal on the monitor, we switched to his TV, and also changed the video output to the HDMI port. We got the same problems again. We have currently tried to reseat the prossessor, but nothing changed. We also noticed that none of the error leds on the motherboard lighted up(that being vga, cpu, bott device and ram error leds) though the power led is lit. At this point I would assume one of the parts is DOA, but I'm not sure witch. Hoping I'm wrong but just asking for your opinions. His system specs are as following: Intel i5 6600k Asus z170-A motherboard Kingston hyper-x fury 2x8 2400mhz ram Evga 650 GQ psu nzxt kraken x61 Samsung 850 evo + WD black 1tb
  20. And then there is this: Only 11% positive reviews lately...
  21. In Norway the Asus card is 7499,- NOK and founders edition is 7599,-. Though EVGA's cheapest offering is at 6599,-
  22. PCI-E is an additional 75W
