Front intake fans for NZXT H440 through filter
Jazzbandit1313 replied to Jazzbandit1313's topic in Cooling
Still, even taking the fan filter off and putting just the front panel on restricts a ton of airflow -
Ok, I've already made two topics on this and bought two sets of three fans to try as front intake fans for my NZXT H440 case. Both sets have been meh and I cannot find a good answer anywhere. I've tried the Enermax UCTB12 and the Be Quiet! pure wings 2. Both can move some air, but when I put the front panel of the case on or the fan filter, they cannot pull any air into my case. So then people tell me I'm looking for some static pressure fans, which makes sense, as they have to pull through a filter. However, it seems like my only option for 3 pin static pressure optimized silent case fans are the Gentle Typhoons, which wont do because I will never pay over 15$ for a fan. Please help. Also, I lay out my case setup and cooling needs in this topic: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/375117-best-front-intake-fans-for-nzxt-h440/#entry5073843

Found em for 7 on amazon. Might just pick these suckers up.
-
My reaction depends on when that was. 4 Euro is 4.37 USD now. 5 years ago that would be a bit more USD...
-
Yep, just found em: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=35-186-079 Thanks. I might actually get these...nice and cheap. Wonder if all three will reach my 3-pin hub....

Do they make these with a 3-pin? Only f12's i know use pwm connectors

Because I'm an aesthetic freak and even though I can't see it, everything must be color-coordinated. Plus for photoshoots of my rig, I like to have the front panel off to reveal the sexy triple fans.

I just can't bring myself to put such ugly fans in my baby. Also, I'd like to keep the fans $<15 *edit: the only noctuas I'd ever use are the NF-P12-1300. And even then I would paint them.

Roccat Tyon. I have this mouse, best I've ever had the pleasure to use.

So I've had this case for a while and the only gripe i have is that the front intake sucks. Its filter covered and has minimal air intake space. I have 3 Enermax UCTB12 fans pulling in on the front, but to get good airflow when gaming, I have to take the front panel and filter off, ruining my silence and letting dust in my system. Looking for the perfect fans that can pull a decent amount of air through a filter and keep silent. I was looking into AF120 Quiet editions, but they don't have good static pressure, therefore the filter would be a problem. The SP120 Quiet editions have better pressure, but does this refer only to pushing power? or pulling power as well, because the filter is in front of these fans. Was also looking at the airflow optimized phanteks 120's - F-PH120XP (I already have two PH-F120MP fans pushing through my H105's rad) Any suggestions? Would prefer silence optimized fans that are either black, red, metal, or white.

Quiet, high pressure PWM Radiator Fan?

Those aren't for sale in the US seems like. What should I do? Drop 30 on the hyperboreas or take the leap and try the parvums out? they both seem like great fans. -

Really quick before I click the order button, what say you to these? http://www.performance-pcs.com/parvum-systems-f1-0-performance-pressure-optimised-fan-black.html They look relatively new on the market and I would be willing to drop $40 for a pair....should I get these instead?
