Jauris's Achievements

  1. Just upgraded this weekend and feeling great. 1,000 more pts than my old 4770k feels pretty good.
  2. You'll have issues changing keycaps on your K60 because corsair uses a non-standard bottom row for their boards.
  3. Your best bet will probably be one of the Royal Kluge RGB boards if you're looking for cheap RGB. They come in around $75 USD, with a mix of Greetech and Kailh switches. Most of them seemed to be out of stock last time I looked though.
  4. Definitely going to recommend the Masterkeys Pro S. Cooler does some top notch stuff. I especially like how the Masterkeys series has a white backplate that reflects the colors extremely well and makes the keys almost glow.
  5. Congrats on wasting your money, I guess.
  6. If it wasn't an issue with the card as you say, why not just stick with the G1 Gaming?
  7. Great looking case, you're right.
  8. Send the folks at Cablemod and email through their contact page with the exact model of PSU you're looking at. They gave me a really quick response a few weeks ago when I was asking about mine.
  9. Yeah, I really don't trust cards that have been used for mining. It's one of the big reasons I've been staying away from used 270 - 280x cards.
  10. I'm loving it so far. It destroys everything I've even thrown at it even on stock clocks, and it definitely has the cooling power to push it harder. I do wish it had the ability to turn the fans off at low loads though, like the Strix.
  11. I sure do, though my it seems like my TV is mostly devoted to football. The League, NFL Games, College Games, Blue Mountain State... lol
  12. Well, I've got a long history building PCs, but I'll spare you the extremely long post I'd have to make about it. This one will just be focusing on my two most recent. So, here's what my previous setup looked like: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor ($172.98 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($72.33 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($128.98 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($86.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Corsair Force Series GT 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($91.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($93.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($93.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB Dual-X Video Card ($264.29 @ Amazon) Case: Corsair 500R White ATX Mid Tower Case ($99.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: SeaSonic 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($129.99 @ Newegg) The prices, obviously, aren't quite correct, and neither are some of the parts. I did my best to re-create it, but I carried a lot of stuff over into this one from ANOTHER prior build. I really like the performance I was getting out of this machine, and honestly I hadn't even considered upgrading until I very fortunately came into some new parts at Quakecon this year. If you've never been, Quakecon is the biggest LAN in North America, and is three straight days of gaming, alchoholism, and panels. It's always a lot of fun, but what really makes it special is the atmosphere. It is almost an entirely volunteer run event, with pretty much just funding and big picture stuff coming in from the bosses at Zenimax (Bethesda & Id). Anyways, I volunteer every year, and I was lucky enough to be entered into (and win) a raffle for a 4770k. This set me up well, and I figured I might as well get to building a sexy new machine with my newly acquired processor. So, without any further ado, here she is: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($329.94 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($89.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($143.79 @ Newegg) Memory: Kingston Fury Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg) Memory: Kingston Fury Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Corsair Force Series GT 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($91.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($93.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($93.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($364.99 @ NCIX US) Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($74.99 @ Micro Center) Power Supply: SeaSonic 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($70.00) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - 64-bit (OEM) (64-bit) ($129.94 @ OutletPC) Keyboard: Das Keyboard Model S Professional Wired Standard Keyboard ($111.16 @ Mechanical Keyboards) Mouse: Zowie EC1-eVo Wired Optical Mouse Headphones: Corsair Vengeance 1500 7.1 Channel Headset I wish the pictures could have been of a bit higher quality, but unfortunately my camera (which I believe you can see in the background of #3) is currently dead and needing to be replaced. So, what do you think?
  13. You might be able to improve it by linking it So 0/10 for no specs.
  14. 0/10, mostly for your username. 5/10 build, though.
