  1. Hello! We are currently renovating out apartment and are looking for a projector for it. I will be ceiling-mounted and in a rather bright environment. We will not be gaming on it ao input lag is not an issue. Do you guys have any good recommendations for projectors that can handle ambient light without loosing quality and colors? Also, what do I need to think about when choosing the projector screen? Any recommendations would be much appreciated! Cheers,
  2. Thanks! Yeah, I'm actually waiting on some white anti-vibration pads for the fan so I'll do that when im installing those since I need to remove the fan then anyway! Thanks for the tip
  3. Hi all! (Hope this is the right subforum lol) Today I finished my first actually thought-out pc build! Chose a black/white color scheme and managed to get my hands on components without too much of a wait (around 1 month, im in Sweden). I'd love to hear your guys' feedback on the build. What I am planning to do next is buy RGB fans, preferrably white ones, and do a vertical GPU mount since the Phanteks P600s has built-in support for it. I heard that PCIe 4 risers are troublesome right now though so that will have to wait. Do you have any other suggestions? Or tips on silent RGB fans (maybe even white ones...?). Full specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3070 Vision RAM: 16gb Ballistix RGB white @ 3600Mhz Cooling: Noctua NH-U12s chromax black with white heatsink cover NH-HC2 Mobo: ASUS Prime X570-Pro Case: Phanteks P600s white PSU: Corsair RM850x white Feedback and tips appreciated! Cheers!
  4. Update: Somehow the resolution in the Oculus Link software was set at 1.7x native resolution which was wayy to much for my gtx 980 to handle. At 1.0x i am running 90hz smoothly!
  5. I tried Vader Immortal through the Oculus app and that worked flawlessly so the gpu is fine enough it seems. My cpu is a 4790k and is running at about 60-70% utilization hmm
  6. I've mainly been testing Beat saber but the game is playing at like 25fps. I am still waiting for the newest Oculus Link update though. Hoping it might help somewhat
  7. Hi all! I've been trying to get my Oculus Quest 2 to play steamVR games with the Oculus link cable but I am getting horrible lag. Playing steamVR through Virtual Desktop is fine at 90hz, but with ~60ms delay and playing through the Oculus launcher and link cable is smooth as well. The problem seems to be the intetaction bewtween Link and SteamVR. Do you guys have any similar issues and any solutions to it? I've tried setting the OVR server process to High priority and nothing changed Any ideas would be very much appreciated! Cheers!
  8. Hello all! I recently got into VR using my old gaming rig running a GTX 980. It works fine for titles like Beat Saber etc but I want to play Half Life: Alyx in the future and will for sure need to upgrade my GPU for that. I'm thinking something like a 2070/2080 or the eventual 3060. However, I would like your guys' thoughts on if my CPU would bottleneck a newer graphics card? I am running an old i7 4790K, slightly overclocked. Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Regards, Paffe
  9. Hello people! I just got a free SHARP TV from my dad's office, and I am wondering what you guys think I should to with it? I already have a nice TV beside my own PC rig, for playing games on my Switch, and we have a home theater setup for streaming netflix and our PS4. Do you guys have any fun ideas on what the new TV could be used for? Any cool gadgets etc that you can recommend? Otherwise Im thinking that I'd just connect a Chromecast an then some retro gaming console if I can find one later. Cheers!
  10. Hello, I recently noticed that Chrome, on startup, opens 10 to 15 "hidden" tabs that drastically slow down my computer. I've tried re-installing Chrome, running anti-virus and adware cleaner. Also tried factory resetting Chrome and still nothing. Any ideas? Regards, Paffe (Could not attach the a screenshot for some reason, here's an imgur link: https://imgur.com/X8oZ3iv )
  11. Yeah, that was what I was thinking too. Thanks for the fast response
  12. Hi all! This fall I'm gonna be needing a new light laptop for taking to school, but I would also like to game at home. I dont really have the budget to buy a light laptop AND a gaming PC. So recently I was looking into the MSI GS30 wich has tropped quite a bit in price since release. My question is if I should buy it now, or wait to see if they release a second revision later this year. I do have a pretty bad heavy laptop right now, so I'm not in need of a laptop ASAP. Let me know your opinions! Cheers
  13. Hi! I'm trying to upload a new channel banner to my youtube channel and it keeps telling me that the file size of the banner is too large and to reduce it to under 2 megabytes, even though it's only 0,96 megabytes. I've tried uploading the picture in both .png and jpg formats. Here's a tweet with pictures of the error and filesize: Regards
  14. yeah. but it's weird that the 980 performes worse than the 650Ti
