  1. Nice use of SolidWorks. Maybe look into investing in a Keyshot subscription if you're going to do more videos like this in the future. Amazingly well optimised, and is much better than Photoview 360.
  2. exclusive adjective (ONLY FOR SOME) limited to only one person or group of people
  3. Came over here from the Tek Syndicate forums just to say that the video made me laugh out loud. Well fucking done @LinusTech, @Slick, and everyone else. That was fucking brilliant!
  4. I'd like to insert my pins into your socket...
  5. Thanks WD and Linus for the giveaway! I watched all of the videos ages ago but didn't enter by posting on here. Good luck everyone!
  6. Haha, thanks for all of the replies! If people do want a ODD place I can add that in, it's just the effect it has on the overall look that I don't like. Although I could place it in a non-intrusive place. With regards to the double wide thing, I was thinking of just adding enough space to add a vertically mounted PSU. I want to do this so it's possible to have a E-ATX/HPTX tower that isn't massive. I'll make sure that I put the door hinge on the right and that it's flush with the rest of the front. Thanks for pointing out that air chimney design on the Deep Silence. I think that basic idea is good and I'll look more into it. Thinking about the door, would it actually be a good idea to have it slide to the right, rather than open on a hinge? With the aesthetics I was thinking of going with a minimalist, sort of Fractal Design look. I was planing to contact them for opinions and maybe a little assistance on the styling when I get to it. The project is going to be till late-June 2014 time so I have a lot of time to make design changes before I make a full size prototype. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks again for the replies!
  7. I'm designing a case for my A-level product design course and need some help deciding on features. From a post I did in the Tek Syndicate forums (using the same title as this), I have already decided to do a double-wide case like the Corsair Air 540. I think that the case could be greatly improved on functionally and aesthetically. Please post suggestions for features in here and I'll update with CAD screenshots and renders as much as possible after I've completed writing up my primary research. Thanks!
