Dear Linus Tech Forum members, I have been struggling with this problem for a while now. I made a tool where people can download Past broadcasts from twitch easily. You can find, download and convert the broadcasts. Twitch has 2 different systems for the vods, the old system, downloads as 30 minute flv clips and the new system is based on HLS and uses 1 minute .ts files. The problem is with the latter. So when you download a broadcast, it often comes in 600 .ts files, which i concat with ffmpeg to a mp4 file so it can be edited easily. everything works etc, but the problem comes in with twitches copyright muting function. They mute per 1 minute timeframe (1 ts file) if a copyrighted song is playing yes or no. So when the first.ts file is muted, the whole output will be muted because ffmpeg detects no audio stream in the file so it doesnt do it for all files. If some random .ts file in the middle doesnt have audio, it isnt a big deal because it will just not have audio, but ffmpeg will still look for it, also in the next files. so i hope i made my problem clear, the command i use is: ffmpeg.exe -f concat -i concatdata.txt -bsf:a aac_adtstoasc -y -c copy output.mp4 The concatdata.txt contains the paths to the .ts files. I hope anyone here has an idea how to circumvent this issue, because for now its really annoying to keep doing it manually, changing the start file etc. Kind regards, Marco Nijholt

Thankyou, well that makes my already dislike for the snapdragon 810 even worse lel. So basicly the S6 is the best smartphones that you will be able to get within a reasonable short time period. So now its just a matter of, ios or android (iphone 6 or samsung s6). Do I dare to jump ships,,,, (again). hows the android to ios ratio here on the forum?

Ok then what makes the m9 so good compared to S6, just because it is htc? Because on paper it looks sub par... I read about some overheating issues indeed with the snapdragon 810. Audio does not really matter to me, I mean I come from the Iphone 5s although I do use about 70 euro senheiser earbuds.

Hey peeps, So everyone got those friends, "You pleb you still using inferior iSheep products" and other friends that are super anti android. Apple almighty..... So lets talk about my history with phones. Back in the day I used to have a Nokia N80 (yes my early highschool days), then I wet on to the iphone 3g, iphone 4 and then a change happend. I chose for the galaxy S3, Liked it at first then didnt... Went back to the iphone 5. Most of the issues I had were with the interface not being smooth, idle battery life really bad and the flimsy build quality. Right now I own a Iphone 5s, which I bought in the US when I was on vacation in michigan, sold my 5 in the Netherlands at almost the same price as the 5s in the US. Profit profit.... So my original plan, which came with the 5 is renewable right now. I am honestly considering getting the S6 with the new metal/glass finnish. I mean im used to not being able to replace battery and sd card slot. so those points arent any issues for me. Since a lot has changed with android compared to when i had the S3 for maybe 3 months, id like some of you guys opinions. So what i'd like is some honest arguments, why a S6 would be better or worse then a Iphone 6. Any iphone to android experiences? or other way around? Thankyou! Marco

My 4770k @ 4.5ghz is running fine with 69c tops while my room temperature was about 35c. Most demanding thing i have done is CS:GO i guess. So not really fully loaded system tbh. Love that h220 from swiftech in combination with polished/delided IHS.

Hello people of linustech I have a friend of mine who i was trying to help but unfortanatly i have no clue how to resolve his problem. He bought a benq-xl2720z and bought a displayport cable with it because he already has 2 screens hooked up via DVI. The graphics card he uses is a 780ti. So the issues/symptoms of his problems are: He needs to boot his pc with the screen on, if not he needs to unplug and plug the displayport cable for it to work. When the screen goes in standby mode by either windows because of the "turn displays off after x ammount of time" or by pressing the monitor power button. He needs to unplug and replug the displayport for the display to turn back on. I searched for power options etc with the nvidia or windows, its in high performance mode, usb suspend is dissabled (found that aswell on some forum dont know how its related but ye). Is there anyone that maybe recognises the issue witht the screen or the card or maybe display port itself and has a solution? Thankyou! Marco

The new command and conquer has been canceled. At the same time EA has closed down the Studio that made the game "Victory Games". The new command and conquer game was supposed to be a Command and conquer Generals like game but then free to play. The reason it got shutdown is because the feedback from the alpha trial was so bad they decided to stop the production. I quote "Your feedback from the alpha trial is clear: We are not making the game you want to play. That is why, after much difficult deliberation, we have decided to cease production of this version of the game," the developer wrote on its website. "Although we deeply respect the great work done by our talented team, ultimately it’s about getting you the game you expect and deserve." If i may suggest you something, what about a Delta Temperature entry? or a tab with the ambient temp. As i am stress testing it is 29.8c in my room, will result better statistics

If it is a replacement for a normal electric heater, then sure go ahead. Aslong as the cpu does not throttle due to thermal thresholds. Changing an cooler will not make any difference in total heat output. All the energy drawn from the wall will be put into heat. Does not matter what kind of cooler you have. if you use it instead of central heating system. Than i suggest you dont do it. Compared to normal central heating its more expensive since electricity costs more than the gas that central heating system uses.
