  1. Wow i didn't consider that much. Walls are not a huge issue from where the router is placed it is in the center of the house and only 1 wall would be in line of sight except for maybe 1 area. I would be trying to use 5G also, I can test them with your idea. I will get some devices and stream as many as I could. I am paying for 75mbps up and down from verizon. Thanks for the advice.
  2. So I have built a Freenas server, the server runs cloud services and emby. I use emby to watch my live tv. I am using the HDhomerun Prime connected to emby so I can watch up to 3 streams of live tv at once from any device. I am only using a cable card costing me $5 a month vs me paying for 3 setup boxes from my provider. The chromecast works amazing and seamlessly with the emby app on my smartphone tablet or computer. Using the chromecast I can put live tv on anywhere in my home with a chromcast. What is in questions is when would I see slow wifi speeds if multiple chromcasts are streaming live tv from the server. The video would be 1080p? How would I be able to check this before investing in more then one chromecast?
  3. I was looking at that one it looks nice!
  4. How many radiators do you think I would need for a i7 5820k and a 1080 ti? I was thinking about 2x 240x120 radiators.
  5. I was thinking about custom loop water cooling. They look so nice.
  6. Anyone know any nice cases with the GPU facing out toward the window of the case. I think seeing the GPU is a really nice touch to a case. What do you all think?
  7. I would have never though projectors could look so awesome. 200" !! Unreal, Whoever wins can we have movie night outside?!?!
  8. I got it. Even though SSD failure is uncommon I want to be safe with my backups. Thanks Django, D2ultima.
  9. OOO so you could use the raid drives that didn't fail even being out of the original x4 config. How would I just add in the 4th drive after I replace it. I thought the data in raid is evenly spread between all the drives? And yes I will have a external or remote drive incase the Laptop gets destroyed. My big question is what is the best way to continue use if a SSD drive fails. I wouldn't boot to that drive unless the raid fails. I would then use the external drives image backups to restore the data to the normal HD to use instead of the raid config, until I can replace the failed SSD drive.
  10. I will have some important information on the SSD raid 0 on my new GT72 Dominator (PRO) laptop and I will need to be able to still use the laptop if the x4 SSD raid 0 fails. I planned on to partition the other internal HD, half for a clone of the original SSD raid array, and the other half for more normal storage. Then I will use my external drive storage to make regular backups of the raid array. So the plan if the SSD raid fails will be to boot to the HD partition that was cloned originally and use the external drive to restore the data and continue with normal use until I can replace the failed SSD drive in the raid array. Is this a good plan and if it is I don't really know where to start. Thanks for the help. Any other ideas are also welcome.
  11. Perfect! You where much help MrBucket.
  12. I am using windows and the backup drive the was copied and pasted has windows on it? But needs the windows bootloader to be repaired/installed?
  13. So by you copying and pasting your essentially cloned the drive A to B. If I did copy and paste what would I have to do from there to be able to boot to that drive instead after i changed the boot priority in the bios?
  14. Sorry I don't know much about this. So if I install a bootloader to the backup drive I can boot from it with everything that was backed-up to it?
  15. But will the backup also be a bootable drive?
