  2. Thank you all so much! The issue of portability for me is that I'm graduating in about an years time and I don't know where I'm going to go to get a proper job (which is why I'm a little scared about buying the CPU). But after reading through all your advice, I am slightly leaning towards getting a PC, but then my question is, suppose I had to move halfway across the states to find a job, what would be the best way to lug my PC around? Mail it / ship it?
  3. Thank you everyone for their replies. I'll keep looking but I guess I'll wait till December and see how the prices are.. I've waited this long a few more months won't kill me!
  4. Hey guys, I'm very interested in the DDR4 RAM that is coming out soon and I was wondering is it worth waiting for them to come out and offer stable prices? Is it significantly better than DDR3 and is it worth waiting?
  5. Hey all, I was looking to buy a gaming laptop soon (I know PC is better but I'm really attracted to the laptops portability). So far from all my research it seems like ASUS makes the best quality laptops in terms of durability so I'm very much leaning towards an ASUS. I have a little OCD when it comes to specs so I was also hoping to upgrade it with SSD, Core i7, 8GB RAM and internal cooling options. (http://www.xoticpc.com/ seems like the best place to do this from but please do give me more recommendations! ). So my question here is that if I do buy a good ASUS gaming laptop (say $1200 budget max), how long do you guys suppose it will last? I don't earn a lot of money so I was hoping for something that would last me 5 years at least. So am I screwed in this regard? Should I just tough it out and get a PC instead? If a PC is a better investment, any website recommendations (as good as xoticpc)? Thank you all so much in advance and please be patient with me I'm a noob
  6. Linus and the Team, I just wanted to thank you all again for everything good you guys did for the tech community. Even though I still use a 2007 Lenovo T61 ThinkPad (and use my xbox 360 for gaming), I still absolutely love keeping up with techy stuff and love keeping up with it and your group has really helped me out. Haha thank you SO much guys I'm rooting for you guys and wish you the very best for the future!
