I just bought a 6950x. Do you want my old 1660v3? bad overclocker, only hit 41 @ 1.3v.

Literally installed one of these the other day and yes it does require a bit of a push down for you to nail the second hole after you've started threading the first one. It's perfectly normal and nothing bad can really happen as long as you tighten evenly as people stated above. Gotta say I love that cooler. It's overkill for my 3700X but it reduced my noise levels to 0 and the whoosh from the Noctua fans even at full load is pleasing and not annoying

Noctua mounting has springs, and if your mobo is already secure in case, its stable to push the amount you need to mount cooler.

As for fans, 0rpm mode is not issue. The bigger issue would be to run fan just at the starting rpm, which for Noctua I think is 300rpm. So you can use 0rpm mode, but also be sure that once they start, they go directly over that starting rpm.

Gotta laugh out of this one!!

To the OP: When you screw the first screw on with the NH-D15, only turn it like 1/2 of the way on after screwing onto the threads. Repeat for 2nd screw and then turn evenly on each screw until it stops.

This is good general advice no matter what you are screwing in.

Yeah that's my master plan! (You read through my mind  ) But I want to start with memory first then GPU. My 5820K is still running good for now. I'll upgrade maybe summer 21 and then I'll need some advice for buying the right one (was looking previously on ebay: so many choice, but don't know which one legit).

Tighten the screws evenly. Go until they don’t turn anymore and you’re good.

Don't tight in one screw while other is not. Turn 2 to 4 times on each screws until both are tight in. Noctua NH D15 mounting mechanism is one of the easy mechanisms on the market.

Haven't seen an auduophile review on the Actis, but the Virtuoso apparently sound horrible. I wouldn't recommend wireless altogether, but at least the Actis are less of a fat avoid.

Just go for either. None of them will sound close to a real pair headphones and a seperate mic anyways.

Ok so I thought this was the first PCIe 3 vs 4 video they did regarding the 5500xt.

    I'm getting a 3090 when available.

So for me it looks like I'll have a brand new 10700k and gigabyte z490i aorus ultra for sale

A couple outlets keep saying yes based on some testing that hardware unboxed did.

I'm gonna rewatch the video on it now but if I recall it had more to do with cards rather than pcie3 vs 4 bandwidth.

Like it was a very specific scenario I think.

You can detect a tiny difference in benchmarks but it makes no real world difference. Nothing to worry about.

Just my 2 cents if it matters...LOL I had a NH-D14 that came off my i7 a few weeks ago...I went and ordered the AM4 bracket kit for it to place it on top of my new 3900X...it's quite adept at handling a 12 core CPU. Going to start overclocking it soon but I know I have the headroom for it.

Should've mentioned but I forgot to - you could get the U12A and a couple NF-F12 chromax.black.swap or iPPC 2000RPM PWM fans, to swap the poop&brown NF-A12x25 fans that come with the cooler, but that will run you quite a bit more money, and if you don't have two 120mm fan spots in your case that aren't out of sight to not bother you, it'd also kind of be a waste of two of the best 120mm fans out there.
