you should paint or patina the fascia, it would look perfect
Yeah the plan is to paint the faceplate of the LG drive with dark brown paint to match the original mitsumi floppy drive

So I noticed this strange outline on my ceiling in the basement living room with the thermal camera
After cutting a hole in the ceiling where the outline was...
It turns out they ran ductwork to this area and never put a vent there
It doesn't go anywhere else
Just hereSo I ended up installing a vent there.
...somehow this isn't nearly the dumbest thing in this house, not by a long shot.

Cold and dry maybe, cold and wet is the normal state of affairs as I've always understood it.
dry nose in general is the sign of problems I think.

They're all in good health. Their noses just run colder than the rest of their bodies by the looks of it
Also keep in mind I do keep my house at an ambient temp of about 15C or so

Big hmmmmmmmm
The problem with cable managing thing is that my setups last like 5 minutes and then I need to change things
that's why velcro.
the cable management under my desk is all mounts designed to be used with zip ties, and i just have zip tie loops on them that i can use with velcro straps.

If it can be helped sometimes shorter cables are just better. Otherwise yeah, cable ties.

Personal rig mini-update:
I rebuilt my rig nearly from scratch this year. Upgraded from a 1080 and 8086K in a node 202 to a 4070Ti and 13600K in a new case.
I used to have a 1200w PSU and an ancient 120mm asetek cooler in here, but I realized I had an 860w psu on hand which gave just enough room for a 280mm clc.
I went on ebay and found a brand new ID cooling set with "damage" but it was so minor I bought it:
I got some help from some of the soft idiots during the upgrade:
The 280mm CLC was a tight squeeze but I did manage to cram it in. The power cables on the other hand were really horrendous to try to fit in here, I need to make some really short ones for this case. However the end results were pretty good for such a cheap CLC... Cinebench R15 with P cores at 5.1ghz and E cores at 3.6ghz, it never went above 65C on the hottest core with the fans at a little over 1000 RPM. I need to properly stress test it and tune them for silence but it's working well so far.

Bestest little helper. Empty boxes; bigger, warmer boxes: what more could a little helper ask for in life.

That's an LG right? I need to do this with mine!
btw. wtf is up with that wall? Do you live in a shed?
Yup, an LG. Not impressed with the UI but whatever, it was the cheapest oled I could find.
As for the wall, I sleep in my basement in an area that wasn't even supposed to be a bedroom. This wall has the furnace behind it.
