Linus uses a Snap-On racheting screwdriver which is really expensive. I have the Williams WRS-1 which I think is fantastic and costs about half the price. It's made by the same company but Williams is a lower tier brand.

Silicon Lottery has 59% of their 7700ks getting 5Ghz or higher. So 5Ghz is actually slightly below average. 

In the US, the cpu and motherboard is worth around $300-325. Probably slightly more in Norway due to taxes and stuff. GPUs are around the right price. 

These type of sellers are becoming more and more common. Over at Amazon, they're referred as the "Just Launched" scammers since that's what Amazon calls sellers with no feedback yet. It's a basically a ton of overseas people, mostly from China, that make accounts and then sell things for too good of a price. Of course, once they sell the item, they never ship it. Now most people will get their money back but if the item is shipping from overseas, you will have to wait over a month to get your money back. In that time, they'll be long gone. I don't know how much they actually make with scams like this because typically Amazon and Paypal hold onto the money for a certain amount of time, but they must be making something to keep on doing it. 

The IO shield slot isn't always exactly the right size. In a couple of cases I've built in, the slot is just slightly smaller than the shield. I had to hit the corner in with the end of a screwdriver. 

I should not have been afraid to get used parts. Many of the brands like EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte, and Asus base their warranty by serial number so you still get warranty even if you buy used and you save a ton of money. I buy most of my parts used now. 

Perk of working in the tech field, I make large purchases of tech almost every day. My biggest single purchase was probably 7 EVGA B-stock Titan X's on black friday.

My Chase Sapphire Preferred is only 1 year as well. I think that's the standard for the industry but it's not bad at all. Haven't had to use it but it's definitely nice since it's free.

Try your local landfills. Mine has an ewaste department and they have bins of stuff that they'll just let you take.

Nah dude, there are specific policies in place. If he didn't get the item, he will be refunded. It's only a matter of when, not if. 

I typically avoid them. I'd gladly take open box ones but would usually avoid refurbs. 

Everyone that is saying this is overkill should stop. You don't know how much money this guy has and if he's able to get the best then why not? I feel like everyone saying it's overkill is just jealous. 

If it came in a plain white box, it's most likely a DOA board that they sent back to Asus to get RMA'd so it's really a refurb. When I get those, I usually complain to Newegg since the box says recertified parts and say this is a refurb and not an open box. They've given me additional discounts before for that. If it's in original box and not really missing anything, it's typically just a customer return and they changed their mind after opening the box.

Great deal on a Thermaltake Core V1 ITX case in black. $36.98 after a $20 Mail-in-rebate. Doesn't get any cheaper than this for a case.
