  1. I still have no idea what happened. I did a full reinstall of windows and all is well.
  2. Fully up to date. I am not. I also just confirmed I am not.
  3. Even more bizarre. Device Manager sees all '8' cores.
  4. I'm assuming you meant 'wmic cpu get...' That being said, I think this has to be a Windows OS issue...not sure how. I booted up Ubuntu from a live USB and ran a few commands on that side. lscpu does infact show 4 cores and 2 threads per core. htop not only sees the hyper-threaded cores, but also reports work being done by them. I've reached the end of my Google-Foo. Does anyone know where/how Windows would be not seeing these, when clearly the Bios / *nix are?
  5. Whoops, sorry. Noticed yesterday, however, I know Hyper-Threading was working about two weeks ago when I rebuilt Win10.
  6. On the latest System and Chipset Driver from MSI. Just did a clear CMOS, same result.
  7. Hello All, I've got a 6700k that randomly has stopped hyper-threading. It is paired to a MSI Z170-A Gaming M7 with current UEFI. I've confirmed that both the Windows Task Manager and CPUz both show as 4 cores, 4 threads. I've also confirmed in the bios that hyper-threading is enabled as well as cycled the setting to see if that would resolve. Anyone got any ideas on if there is some sort of hardware failure with the chip / motherboard, or if I've just missed something obvious? Thanks for any help ahead of time!
