noob_gamer reacted to XTankSlayerX in nvidia 900 series VS radeon 300 series
The cards aren't out yet.
We're not wizards (probably) we don't know if the 300 series cards are going to be good.
The could be the best thing ever since Linus, or the worst thing ever since Corsairs tramp stamp logo

If you can't find isopropyl alcohol you didn't look hard enough, it's a VERY common household item.

noob_gamer got a reaction from raultherabbit in Parvum s2.0 build and plans, Hardline acryllic tube? 4790K, gtx 980 (Update II)
So i Finally received a new mobo, Thanks to Overclockers UK for a good RMA experience
Here are some shot of what it looks like at the moment, next month i will buy some of the watercooling gear.
The new motherboard, which works
Mobo and CPU The CPU is so small, i thought about going x99, but i wanted the thermal amor, so i can paint it white.
Uhh
The build, with the boring type of cooling.
I made a little time lapse of the build proses, check it out here.
http://youtu.be/7UomepLs76c
The time lapse consist of 1800 pictures all taken with a gopro. and man was it annoying to make and edit i movie maker, which could not handle it at all.

Yes it is, thats why i will take some inspiration from it.
and it is a titanfall theme, mine will not be though. i have never played titanfall.
my build either have to be black and white or white and light blue/blue. i can´t really decide.
My previous build was also black and white so i maybe have to try something different.
my previous build.

noob_gamer got a reaction from raultherabbit in Parvum s2.0 build and plans, Hardline acryllic tube? 4790K, gtx 980 (Update II)
So i have decided to build a new system.
This one is going to be a little more custom and a little more better than the previous
I will stick to black and white i think, can´t make my mind up if it has to be black and white or white and light blue, only time will tell.
The plan is to build a rig with a I7 4790K, GTX 980 with custom rigid acrylic tubes, bitspower fittings and so on.
The case is going to be a Parvum s2.0.
Parts already bought
Intel I7 4790K
Asus Gryphon Z97
GTX 980
16gb hyper x fury 1866mhz ram
EVGA supernova g2 750W psu
Samsung 840 evo 500GB SSD
WD black 3TB HDD
Be quiet air cooler (only temporarily)
Parvum s2.0 in black and white
Noiseblocker e- loop fans 120mm
Be quiet silent wings 80mm
Cable mod black and white for EVGA G2
I can always change the colour of the case with an accent kit.
Updates
Update1: Cablemod cables.
Update2: Build is put together waiting for watercooling.
so far i have received the parts listed above
Super happy me i can finally get started building.
all the parts I have never ordered this much hardware on once before.
Let the building begin
Progression
Through the magic of taking pictures the case is finished
I must say that the fit of this case is not spot on, some places it could have been a bit better and there is missing some 6mm screws in the box, but over all it is a "ok" case and all the small imperfections is something i´m willing to over look.
So after assembly of the case i went on but soon discovered a problem.
The heatsinks backplate would not fit on the Gryphon board because it has its own back plate.
So the heatsinks backplate had to be cut to size.
Using the same kind of magic as above i can skip to the fully assembled system
In the place it is going to stand until i have ordered and received the watercooling gear
or so i thought, as you can see on the picture the PC have booted and i am in the bios, further more i got the OS installed, but then the computer just went out (as pulling the plug) and the SB_PWR light turned green.
I tried all i could the make i wake up again but none of my magic worked
so for now i have to use my test bench with the new hardware on but with a different motherboard.
so this i how my desk have to look until i get the board RMA´ed
Next update will be when i have been through the RMA with overclockers.co.uk (hopefully soon)
btw i have ordered a Cablemod sleeved cable kit in black and white

well i Know what it is and what it does it is just not needed where i come from, but i have learned otherwise now.
well, in these situation i´m never home, it is allways at noon or around that time where i come from.
it is the same in Denmark thats why i had my doubts whether it was needed or not, but i can see why you need the in places like Ireland (Dublin).

noob_gamer got a reaction from Imabigmac in Is The Crew okay?
I like The Crew so far i have clocked 65 hours and it is still heaps of fun, there is a lot to do even though you have finish the main story.
Even if you don´t want to do more than the main story, driving around an exploring new places is still fun and entertaining.
I have a g27 and the controls are not super realistic, but i can go along with that, because the game is not a sim, if the handling of The Crew had been in project cars i would have been disappointed.
But as it is now it is fine.
There is a bug once in a while but nothing major or game breaking, it is actually just good fun to see how your car suddenly accelerates and spins for a mile when you hit something in an odd way

noob_gamer got a reaction from Tedster in Man Wants to Build Michael's House from GTA V - Kickstarter Campaign
If i had does kind of money i would pledge the entire 1,6 mill. Just to see how he would actually manage to build a house at the same time he studies computer engineering I mean having to buy the land and having a crew of people working on a house of that size is not cheap...
