  1. Not sure if you actually figured it out or not, but the sub is active, you may have noticed there was a power plug on it? plug that in and turn it on and it should be gut
  2. Very good for the price, I recommend them. I also have a review, in signature. They work just fine on phones, and isolate alright, with 840 pads they are very comfortable, at least for me. but if you have the option to buy them off a friend, you could try them first and see if you like them or not?
  3. not really. the pads are supposed to be a little softer, but still not comfortable, afaik
  4. They aren't thin, my ears don't touch it at least. I can't think of any headphones at the moment, just got up and I'm sick..
  5. Not as bassy of course, and IMO it makes a big hole in the mid-bass region, where low-tuned guitars and such sound a little thin, and the 440 pads are a lot stiffer and not as smooth as the 840 pads. Isolation also goes down by a bit with the 440 pads.
  6. if ignoring budget, Shure SRH440 with 840 pads are amazing for the price.
  7. I absolutely love this, every part of it makes me want to start doing stuff like it myself *drool*
  8. IMO 16 watts is more than enough.

    Help diz boi

I think Norway is like a magic country where the SRH440 is like 71 euros or 98 USD... MAGIC
  12. They're alright for light gaming, yes, but if you're hardcore in FPS games, open headphones would be better.

    Help

That's probably just the noise floor of your audio solution, I don't think there's much to do about that. I have the same hiss with my JBL J33's on both my desktop and laptop, but not on phone, seeing as the phone is lower power.
  14. I would check if I had any stores in a reasonable distance, but I really don't, sucks to live in the middle of nowhere in Norway. wait- googled "mic thread" and it certainly looks like the threads on the Snowball stand.
  15. Just for a little info, there's a watt meter on my Marantz amp, and at ungodly loud levels it shows like.. 40 watts at 8 ohms. So I think it'll be just fine.
  16. set up a blind test with someone helping you? and the other way around?
  17. Get a small mousemat or just some isolating material and put it on that. or on your monitor.
  18. fair point. but the HE-400 would be a great choice, I think.
  19. HE-400i is coming soon, with better headband and less weight
  20. yeah at the 100 usd they're on Amazon and such often, they're alright, but the MSRP is waay to high.
  21. I guess that's just you, but a lot of people, including me, have the impression of a really narrow soundstage, it's almost like the music is inside your head, and has no depth to it.
  22. They're alright afaik, and should be fine with onboard
  23. Have a look at this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samson-CO1U-Studio-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B000PTF0E2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1394998726&sr=8-3&keywords=samson+mic and perhaps this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samson-SP01-Shock-Mount-Microphones/dp/B000LQLDM2/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1394998726&sr=8-7&keywords=samson+mic it's a little over though
  24. With the "Ringer" mount, which is the shock mount for the Snowball, it should mount to pretty much any mic arm, afaik
  25. They sound the same as the old M50's. The pads are supposed to be a little softer. and there's a detachable cable. not much more to say about them.
