I don't think Apple really care, considering they probably will sell more Macbook Pros in two days than Razer will in a year. As for everyone else, I don't think its offensive, but its just unprofessional you don't see other big companies tweeting stuff like that.

I actually grew to like Vessel after the free 1 year subscription I ended up paying for it. I don't understand, do Verizon have some service that is competing with Vessel? Pretty annoyed that a cool startup has to get bought out and shut down by a massive corporation. Not to mention all the content creators who will lose a significant amount of revenue because of the shutdown, it would be good if Linus made a video about it.

No one spends $14,000 on processors just for a storage server, plus that motherboard doesn't even support that CPU. Not to mention if you worked at Google, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't let you store their projects on your personal home server. Also hardware engineers don't design servers, network architects do. -

Pretty awesome that you can just carry it anywhere. It gives you the ability to turn any flat wall into a cinema or a massive gaming setup. -
There is probably no market for cases that fit BTX motherboards. Your best bet would be to buy a regular case and modify it by drilling new mounting holes. Otherwise you are probably stuck with that case.

It does kinda look like the pci slot is too far from the end of the board, you might have to modify the case so the card will fit.You should be able to find a 750ti that runs on a 300w PSU, although some of the overclocked 750ti cards like from EVGA need 400w.

Well unless your willing to modify a case to make it work, your probably stuck with the original Dell case. The GTX 750ti is probably the best option, you will also need to make sure the card comes with a low profile bracket. What is the wattage of the PSU?

Those kind of desktops can be hard to work with. You could try and find a half height graphics card like a GTX 750ti and try and use it in that case. But a better option would be to find a cheap case and move all the parts into that. It will also mean you could use a standard ATX power supply and fit a larger graphics card. It all really depends on your budget.

Should have probably mentioned that the prices are in AUD and not USD. So a 5820K and an X99 motherboard will end up costing upwards of $800 in Australia. -

So I am trying to decide between two different processors for a new desktop build. Here are the two options: Option 1 Cpu - Intel Xeon E3 1230 V5 - $395 Motherboard - Gigabyte X150-Plus - $164 Total = $559 Option 2 Cpu - Intel i7 6700 - $433 Motherboard - Gigabyte H170-HD3 - $155 Total = $588 The Xeon paired with the motherboard is cheaper, however it only supports DDR4 with a max speed of 2133Mhz, whereas the i7 supports much faster memory. I don't do much gaming, so the computer will mostly be used for software development. So which will be better value?

They are actually really decent computers, most professional programmers use Mac's because of their speed and reliability. Out of all the developers I know, none of them have ever had a Macbook Pro go bad on them, you can leave them on all the time and they just don't overheat. I am not a fan of Apple's desktops or accessories but the Macbook Pro is just awesome. Most people in the PC gaming community just hate on Mac's because everybody else does and they probably have never used one for an extensive period of time.

The forum is good but it is still young when compared to other tech forums like Tom's Hardware which have been around for ages. I don't think the forum has a very wide user base, its mostly made up of PC gamers, and there aren't heaps of programmers, or electronics enthusiast to be honest. For example a post about which is the best graphics card gets 3 pages worth of responses, but posts talking about Raspberry Pi or Arduino get very few responses. I think this is because almost everyone here is because of Linus' videos, which used to be centered around PC gaming, however he is really broadening his viewership so hopefully that should bring some new people.

As previously mentioned, the old phat models have some pretty big cooling issues so they are probably best avoided. I had the 40GB launch model and even though it was barely used, it still got the yellow light. I then spend quite a bit of money getting it professionally repaired, only for it to get the yellow light again just a couple of months later. You'll end up spending more time and money trying to get the PS3 repaired then you spent actually buying it. If you can get your hands on a slim model it should last you much longer than a phat model.

From an economic standpoint the low CAD will actually be really good for growth. There should be a massive increase in Canadian exporting.
