  1. So I have been playing bf3 for awhile, even though bf4 is out, and I recently changed where I put the origin files (Boot drive -> Storage drive) and now I am getting what seems to be in my opinion that textures are not loading right. This does not happen on any other games and it does not always happen when I play bf3. Time doesn't seem to make a difference and my temps all look good while playing. I have a video of what it looks like: http://youtu.be/S4e6_p3ePXM. Let me know what you guys think. It is a gtx 570 running with i5-2500k @4.6GHz and 8GB RAM. It will not bother me too much if it is the GPU since my new GTX 770SC comes tomorrow. But I might be selling it so I don't want to rip someone off. Thanks, bwskillz EDIT: The other game that I have been playing the most is Bioshock infinite on high @ 1080p as well and in my opinion it seems more GPU intensive, but I have not had any graphical issues like bf3.
  2. US Dollars? I guess I can reword it as "Do I need to upgrade my base components to be free of major bottlenecks, or can I get away with just the Graphics card?"
  3. Gaming, I'm thinking around $350 for GPU alone if possible, otherwise up to $650 for mobo, CPU, and GPU.
  4. I future proofed as much as possible when I made my rig, got 750W which was way more than I needed at the time and I was planning on water cooling but that didn't happen (so i have a very open Corsair 800D lol) so I should be fine.
  5. alright from what I was reading that seemed to be the case. Am I good to upgrade GPU with the same mobo? No PCI issues, etc.
  6. So I have been out of the whole computer scene for about a year or 2 so I am not "up-to-date" on what is out there, and I am planning on upgrading unless it is completely not necessary. I plan on upgrading graphics card + monitor (for sure), and mobo + cpu. So instead of searching through endless videos and/or forums, etc. I was wondering if one of you would be able to give me a quick "crash course" on whats new or just give me some suggestions on what to get. If it doesn't make sense to upgrade the mobo and cpu I won't and use extra money on the graphics card. I already know what monitor I want. I currently am running an ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z Z68 with an i5-2500k @ ~4.5GHz and GTX 570. And if it helps i have 8GB G.skill Ripjaws-x RAM. I got all of these right before ivy bridge came out. I am also an Intel and NVIDIA Fanboy but I am open to AMD graphics. I'm assuming around $500 budget... but I am open to whatever . Thanks for your help, BWSKILLZ
  7. Thanks for the cool contest, Linus. HTC rocks for making this happen. Cheers!
  8. So I am having an issue with after effects CS5.5. (Note: fairly new but got the basics down) When I drag the current time indicator in the timeline, my composition doesn't animate with it. It just appears where you place the indicator. Any help to fix this? Thanks in advance, EDIT: Nevermind figured it out. For those newbies (like me) who may have the same issue, there should be a button by the search for the layer that if you hover over says live update.
  9. Sorry to bump up an old thread but quick question, how did you do the fittings going into the basement. I like the aesthetics of it and am probably going to try that in mine. Anyway great build, very clean and just badass. :)
  10. So I am very excited to show you that the K70 keyboard was unveiled to the general public at PAX East 2013. http://omg-review.com/corsair-unveils-130-vengeance-k70-gaming-keyboard-with-backlit-keys/ If you haven't followed along with the recent information about it (or just knew now like me), it is essentially Corsair listening to the customers of the K60. The K70 will include: -A fully backlit keyboard. The backlighting will have different profiles; for example "reactive typing", and programming certain keys to light up (and stay on, different than reactive). -ALL (thats right all) keys will be mechanical. As with the previous keyboards they will be Cherry Red switches. -2 Color schemes, a Silver/Blue lighting setup (Looks like the K90), and A black/Red scheme [black brushed aluminum backing with red lighting] -It still comes with the optional keys (EDIT: the removable ones for WASD and 12345) that were on the K60 It will pretty much include the same but enhanced features as the K60 including a full length wrist rest like the one on the K90. I think this is gonna be one kick ass keyboard and am definantly going to do what I can to get it,,, considering over the weekend I just bought the K90 (just shipped so I might be to return it for a refund),, :/ Anyways in my experience, Corsair is very high quality and I trust this will be a great addition to their line-up. Reactive Lighting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDkPASirlr8 Corsair's Page: http://www.corsair.com/k70 On a different note, there's not much information on the K95 that I have found. I haven't seen anything about releases or anything other than pretty much all mechanical keys and a black/[white backlight] scheme. I think it is just a general step up from the K90. Corsair's Page: http://www.corsair.com/k95 That's all I have so far so enjoy :) , Ben S.
  11. lol ive seen that before. its just insane what you can do nowadays :)
  12. Pretty hard to do but it would b pretty nice to have a completely silent rig :)
  13. Ya ive seen that in maximum pc a few times. Looks bad ass!!
  14. I would personally love that as a Home Theater pc type build. Like set it up to a HDTV and beefy surrond sound setup and watch full HD videos and movies then play the latest games at high framerates. lol, anyways yeah that would look sharp and be pretty cool to see.
