      Hmm?

      Oh, Quezon City. :T

  2. Hot damn, I remember when the R5 was new. Three years, more like three seconds. I'm getting real old fast. Looks like this, and the Define/Meshify C are the heroes the case industry deserves. Something to get out of the shitfest that is "RGB and TG cases with shitty airflow/shitty design/big af for no reason/expensive for what it really is/a combination of all". And to be clear, I'm not against TG and RGB, I just wish case manufacturers would focus on the case itself than be all about dat bling.
  3. Do you need the storage potential of these cases or? Because otherwise the cheaper Fractal Define C, Phanteks Eclipse P400/Enthoo Pro M and NZXT S340 for around the $79-99 mark are more than enough for the average peeps, and have some extra goodies like a PSU shroud (Enthoo Pro regular has one tho) and tempered glass side panels. If you need water cooling, the Define C and Enthoo Pro M are ones I would recommend. Otherwise the R5 and Enthoo Pro are great if you need all that storage space, and you can't go wrong with either. I'd also add in an NZXT H440 in for good measure.
  4. Oh what the fuck, my bad. My brain thought 'decrease' meant 'increase' for some reason. It's early morning, and I haven't had my coffee.
  5. I mean, they don't actually improve game performance, but you sure they decrease load times?
  6. Do you need those extra fans and stuff? The only B350 boards I'd recommend is that Asus board, the Asus Strix B350-F, and the ASRock AB350 Pro4. The rest have pretty underwhelming VRM, including the MSI Tomahawk.
  7. Not sure how much or if you're going to OC but Ryzen's stock cooler's actually good enough for even mild OC's (3.7@stock voltage). You don't need to spend another $50 for a 212X or similar cooler, unless if you're getting a 1600X, or OC'ing beyond 3.7 and adding more voltage.
  8. I don't think it'll matter, even if you're putting an R7/i7 and a 1070/RX56+. Those are pretty efficient and cool either way. Maybe when you're putting a Threadripper/Skylake X and dual 1080 Ti's/RX64s build in a P400, then that'll definitely make things hotter. But the mainstream stuff is okay, even the higher end ones. As for P400 TG vs Enthoo Pro M TG, well, depends on you. Do you want to do a custom water cooling loop later on? Do you hypothetically see yourself upgrading to a Threadripper/Skylake X build (doubt it, but, well)? Do you just want peace of mind on temperatures? Well, Enthoo Pro M is for you. Otherwise, P400 will do just fine with any mainstream build with a single GPU, aside from being cheaper and having those extra goodies (free RGB ). Aesthetics are all up to you.
  9. I have finally ascended...

    Still need games, though. :V

  10. My planned workload would be weekly 1080p video editing, and then, well, gaming. I've heard everywhere that 16GB is now the bare minimum for not only video editing but also AAA gaming. But, well, there's the rising RAM prices thingy. If I were gaming, yeah, this is an obvious choice. But, since I'm video editing, I wonder if the extra cores on the 1700 would benefit so much on video editing that I can just live with 8 gigs for now, and then add another stick once prices hopefully come down. Or is the R5 1600 more than enough for my workload, especially 1080p video editing, and that I need the extra 8 gigs of RAM now. Thanks! c: And also, yeah, my graphics card is going to be a GTX 1060, if you're wondering. T:
  11. Because of the supposedly bad VRMs that the Tomahawk has, especially for R7 and even R5 1600 overclocking. At least that's what one user around here would say. :T What kind of VRM temperatures do you get with the R7 at 3.9GHz?
