I don't know why so many people are like "I hope Intel go out of business" or "go bankrupt" if that happened, then the monopoly would shift from Intel to AMD. Nothing would change, it would just be a new name for people to bash.

Looks like this, and the Define/Meshify C are the heroes the case industry deserves. Something to get out of the shitfest that is "RGB and TG cases with shitty airflow/shitty design/big af for no reason/expensive for what it really is/a combination of all". And to be clear, I'm not against TG and RGB, I just wish case manufacturers would focus on the case itself than be all about dat bling.

Not sure how much or if you're going to OC but Ryzen's stock cooler's actually good enough for even mild OC's (3.7@stock voltage).
 
You don't need to spend another $50 for a 212X or similar cooler, unless if you're getting a 1600X, or OC'ing beyond 3.7 and adding more voltage.

I don't think it'll matter, even if you're putting an R7/i7 and a 1070/RX56+. Those are pretty efficient and cool either way.
 
Maybe when you're putting a Threadripper/Skylake X and dual 1080 Ti's/RX64s build in a P400, then that'll definitely make things hotter. But the mainstream stuff is okay, even the higher end ones.
 
As for P400 TG vs Enthoo Pro M TG, well, depends on you. Do you want to do a custom water cooling loop later on? Do you hypothetically see yourself upgrading to a Threadripper/Skylake X build (doubt it, but, well)? Do you just want peace of mind on temperatures? Well, Enthoo Pro M is for you. Otherwise, P400 will do just fine with any mainstream build with a single GPU, aside from being cheaper and having those extra goodies (free RGB  ).

Yeah 16GB is required for some games, depending on the settings. For example PUBG runs poorly on machines with 8GB only.
But it's not really worth sarcrificing the stepdown in CPU, if that is overstepping your budget.

Better CPU more ram later. 

On my windows 10 system I I have 16GB but never really see much more usage than 6GB of Ram.  I dont do video editing though.  I do some audio though.  I would say to make sure that your swap file is moved off of an SSD if you plan on using one of those, and put it on a HDD.  Its possible that you will get some swap usage and you dont want to kill your SSD from constant writes.

Get the 1700 because later you can add another stick of RAM but it would be a lot harder/more expensive to upgrade your CPU.

Except maybe R3 and quad-core R5s.

As for my comments on the Tek Syndicate thing, I haven't worked with Logan or anyone from his team since HighLANder, so I don't have any comments.

Damn. PHP4K+ over the R7 1700, and doesn't come with a sweet stock cooler that has RGB can cool even a mild OC.

This is some hypothetical whole new level of non-techie I've just thought, so yeah, this is just made up, (though someone might've had an experience like this who knows? ) but what if someone buys a CPU cooler, and straps it to his case instead of installing it on the CPU itself since he thinks CPU = the case/entire computer?

There are no other words...
 

My parents bought a GT 610 instead of a GTX 650 because they think the former will run all games at ultra better than the latter because the former has "more VRAM"...  :blink:
