frostentangle got a reaction from Igneez in PC power up fail?
Yes. But even if I do leave the PSU 'open' and boot from cold boot it still does this fail boot once.
I updated my bios and it has improved a bit, meaning it still has the fail boot but it is now less noticeable than before.

frostentangle got a reaction from chilicheeseburger in Combine SSD?
Yeah that's what the shopkeeper told me too. I now know the rist but is it really that unstable? or is it just a matter of precaution?

frostentangle reacted to dizmo in Combine SSD?
Haha, yes. 3 also ate up most of my SSD when I had it installed.
I didn't find it that fun though so it didn't stay on there for long.

frostentangle reacted to BaSkA in $2000 build - Please evaluate ASAP
Damn that sucks! In the US is like only 60% more expensive... Regarding the re-installing process of the OS, if you get a Samsung SSD I believe there's a software called Samsung Magician or something like that which does that for you.
I don't have much experience regarding this though so I should advise you to ask someone else here when you need to do it.
Good luck with your build bro!

750W should be enough, but you may want to consider getting an 850W/860W model for a little more headroom.
My philosophy on fans is to stick with stock unless and until they prove too noisy or ineffectual. Fans can be easily added at any time.
Most people prefer pulling in from the front & bottom and exhausting out the rear and top. It is common practice to create a slight over pressure inside the case, i.e. a little more air being drawn in than exhausted.

@lee32uk Unfortunately the PSUs you suggested isn't available here.
I think the above build is already within budget. Let me know what you think. -

I'll be ordering the build tomorrow and I want to get your final thoughts on my build:
Cpu: Core i7-4790k Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2 Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport 1600 CAS 9 16GB Ssd: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD Hdd: 2 TB Seagate Barracuda's Gpu: Asus gtx770 2gb ddr5 direct cu11 oc Psu: Seasonic X750 80+ GOLD Full Modular Case: CM n400 Cooling: Noctua NH-D14 OS: WINDOWS 8.1 64BIT SL Others: - Corsair SP fans X5 - NZXT fan controller - FTW Sleeves
I would like to go for air cooling only but I'm tempted to get the CM 690 III which has a free Seidon 120v already, maybe I could save up because I might have to reduce some fans. Let me know if it's a better option to get the CM 690 III or just stay with this build.

I would go with a Radeon R9 280X but overall looks really good.
I say go at it.

Watch the clearance on the memory heat-sinks vs the NH-D14, go to Noctua's website to see computability, I know the original vengeance had issues. Might want to change that to a 4790K to take advantage of Z97.
PSU will be more than enough, plus Seasonic is #1 (imo of course)

Go i7 4790k that way you can over clock down the road if you want. You'll regret not getting it.
