Biography
Been a budget gamer since my old Command & Conquer / Starcraft days. Being a nerd led me to a Physics undergrad and Mechanical grad, where I met most of the friends I game with. Landed a job that lets me play with robots. Finally, got out from under enough college loans to build the kind of gaming PC that I've always wanted. Re-learning PC building after 10 years absence is what led me to Youtube, to Linus's AWESOME! content, and finally to this forum. So Hi!

LTT's Youtube channel died when it turned into clickbait junk!
AngryPandaPC replied to DVDfever's topic in General Discussion
The YouTube audience is the one ultimately responsible for the clickbait nature of YouTube. I can't think of any other channel at LTT's level that doesn't employ the method. I can't think of any channels in the tech space that don't do it either to some degree. I don't understand why LTT is seen as any sort of exceptional example. -
Apple is officially worth $3 Trillion USD
AngryPandaPC replied to ebprince the computer nerd's topic in General Discussion
I think their current valuation has more to do with them being seen as a safe stock market bet in a tumultuous market. So I'm not sure how much it is coupled to fundamentals.- 3 replies

LTT revists Cooling a PC with a Fridge! But this time it is an industrial fridge like these Thermo Scientific Lab ones: https://www.thermofisher.com/us/en/home/life-science/lab-equipment/cold-storage/lab-freezers/ultra-low-temperature-freezers-minus-80.html I saw a few units on my local craigslist for about $30-$5k -

Other than the horrifying discomfort for everyone involved and the long term impact to the reliability of the loop, this would work almost identically to a water cooled PC.... That being said, outside of an April Fool's video, I don't think I actually want to see them do this. -

A variant on this idea I'd like to see is what platform and upgrade from years past turned out to be the longest lived with good performance. Call it, "Hindsight 2020"! -

Now that Alex and Linus have a cooler work shop, I'd love to see them try to build something like: the Nude CNC water block, but for something crazy like a 3950x, Threadripper, or even EPYC!!! A 3M Novec phase change setup A custom made vapor chamber With their extensive heat pipe experience, a passively cooled PC Case -

@CPotter I'm confused. I went to the genius link, but there's no more Amazon affiliate link. Did that go away? -
It's a pretty open ended question. So why are you asking?
