IMO the technology needs to be refined a bit more.

I suspect the mystery laptop Linus raged about in this video (around 3 minutes in) would be significantly cheaper than laptops that still include an eGPU solution, like the new GS40 and old GS30, but without having a dedicated GPU already inside the laptop. I also think that with all this thunderbolt/usb-c connectivity in new laptops, there will be even cheaper laptops from other manufactures that have a nice quadcore CPU with the ability for you to buy your own GPU dock solution.

Or it you DO NOT want a dedicated gpu, the Asus version of what is now the Razer Blade Stealth is a superior option.

The chip has never been over clocked but it does have a turbo boost in that range. I think the clocks are 3.1 with a 3.4 turbo boost. the max temp was only 46, the tj max reading of 80 is always there.

Its running much better after the worse mod I installed. I still have to have it on med in order to drive with any play-ability but it'll run on ultra any other time so I just keep it on med.

Update went well, I've had game installs that went worse. I verified what bios I had in the first place, I saved it to the drive just in case, I did have to pick what file I wanted and it was not the file I thought it was but it wouldn't let me use but one file, the correct one. I did have trouble on the restart however, it wouldn't go to windows, it just kept verifying the install and said press any key to shut down. After doing that twice I remembered the boot cycle and just removed the flash drive (oops). I verified the update before letting it go to windows. I assume I'll never really see these changes as they were minor but it might have had to be done anyway with the new CPU. I'm glad you helped me catch it before I put that new cpu in and screwed something up. Just out of curiosity what would have happened without the update? Major problems? Crashes?

I am on a Rampage IV Black Edition, i7-4930K@4.5GHz, 32GB of RAM, 2x250GB 840 Evo's in RAID0, 2xGTX 670 FTW's in SLI and Watch Dogs is randomly choppy for me. To the point that I do not even want to play it. I can play BF4, Crysis3, Far Cry3, Wolfenstein TNO, and pretty much any other games I want on at least high settings, most with just a setting or two turned down, and I never have problems, Watchdogs is really the only game that is like this for me... So it is probably the game engine, this is not the first time I have heard of this...
